6x 20kg bags of farm yard manure and 2 bags of compost, 2 yellow tomato plants and 2 courgette plants was the haul from garden centre. I had to dig up a load of bramble roots, left the shoots that can be tied to the fence so we might get some blackberries this year as gardener cut it all off at the ground. Good job mum has a 4 wheeled trolley/sack truck thing to move the bags, one went in raised bed for the courgettes, one on the garden where some peas and stuff will go and the rest along the runner bean sticks. Gave up at 3pm as my back was getting tight. Back on the Herferod tomorrow but need to go back and spend another day on mums garden.

Back is fine this morning after yesterdays gardening adventure, knees are a bit weak but carrying an extra 40lbs is not helping! Simpson sky this morning, they say 14C today but they said that for yesterday and car said (and it felt like it) 17C .

I am glad that your back is better.  I hope you get good produce this year from your garden.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

I was going to take my cousin to the hospital on Fri but they change it to a phone call!! Still I was not looking forward to battling the Birmingham  traffic. Slow cooker chicken sort of stew/soup thing tonight, had a container of chicken stock and bits in the freezer and 2 thighs. Chopped up some spuds and carrots and chucked some chicken gravy granules in to thicken it.
I have the docs tomorrow after shopping, just an annual check up.

Well turned TV on when I got back from shopping, its had a thin black line across screen for ages but it started to change colour below that line. Still had a picture but hard to watch so after docs I shot intown again and bought a new 50ins one, taken me all afternoon to try and set up the online stuff. 2 channel I have not managed yet as one wont recognize my password even when I reset it and waiting on the other to send me a reset email. Modern tech  to make life easy, NOT!! Old telly lasted over 10 years so got same make.

Exactly!

And like the warning that my password is too easy to guess.

I tell it to shut up. If I can forget it, no one else will guess it.

But, but, but, you used that password five times!

Yes, because it works and nobody has guessed it in 25 years.

Have to get the old telly down the stairs and take to recycle centre, it was easy to drag the new one up but will find it hard to get this one down. Still not sorted the 2 apps, it took 1 and 1/2 hrs to load a video to my channel when I got home yesterday! Bit more welding this morning, hope to get it done while its still cold enough to wear a sweat shirt to protect my arms! could be 21c later.

Well I was sort of set going to the workshop this morning but then Nick rang me just as I was about to get changed, by the time we had chatted I gave up on going out!! Still I had lots to do at home, made a fish pie, changed bed, washed 2 lots of stuff and then made an Apricot loaf to use up some dried apricots. I put it in my loaf tin but it started escaping over the top so slid a baking tray under the loaf tin quick!!
Not sure how it will turn out as had no orange juice for recipe but on line said apple cider vinegar mixed 50/50 with water works.

Your house must fill with fantastic smells every day Davina! You should open a cafe!

The apricot loaf turned out okay, has a cider vinegar after taste! It would go well with some yogurt or custard. In other news there was a Harley Davidson festival vote for your band in the UK to go to HD festival abroad, the band my lad drums in won it!! They get to perform in Belgium and one other country I cant remember. That should increase their profile on line, hope they have biometric passports sorted.

Need to clean up my workshop today ready to take bags of rubbish to the skips tomorrow, cant get enthused at the moment! Just hope I can get my motor close to my workshop to load up as some of the bags are heavy, not much in them but as much as the bag can stand. Cardboard boxes for recycle and other general rubbish. As Sara said its dull, cloudy and windy today, now where did I put that bag of enthusiasm?

I was okay once I got going, nothing in the way and car loaded for skip run tomorrow. Also had a good tidy in the workshop and primed some parts ready to paint tomorrow.
Big lump of fish pie and veg and I went to sleep watching telly!! Ate too much but it was good, enough left for 2 more meals.

Fish pie is usually onion, cod, smoked haddock and salmon in a white bechamel type sauce topped with mashed potato, cheese sprinkled on top and baked in the oven, Sort of a fish version of shepherds pie. There are tons of variations though, some put mustard in, some add eggs and so on.

It's an english classic and one I've never actually had before.
