Honoring National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day

Each year on December 7, Pearl Harbor Survivors, veterans, and visitors from all over the
world come together to honor and remember the 2,403 service members and civilians who were killed
during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

A further 1,178 people were injured in the attack, which permanently sank two U.S. Navy battleships
(the USS Arizona and the USS Utah) and destroyed 188 aircraft.

On August 23, 1994, the United States Congress designated December 7 as National Pearl Harbor
Remembrance Day.
Every year, remembrance events are held at the Pearl Harbor National Memorial, culminating in a
commemoration ceremony on December 7.

As someone who served in the Navy, my heart goes out to folks on this day. Everyone affected by it. It was a horrible attack with a horrible loss of life.

Above all... remember: you are beautiful, you are valuable, and you have a shining spark of magnificence within you. Don't let anyone take that from you. Embrace who you are. <3

A big salute goes to all who served there at that time.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.
