To preface this I'm kind of in a pink fog or more likely in gender europhoria.

I'm currentlt posting in cd and trans threads.

I haven't had hair on my legs for years for sporting reasons.  I used to shave my chest and stomach for my wife, but she always like my thick but fine forarm hair.

But since life saving surgery that required all body hair removal I have tried to keep my arms hair free.

Sadly, my arms are always spiky. I've tried cremes and continue to shave but there is always regrowth.

Any suggestions please

If you have dark hair and light skin, laser hair removal works well. Otherwise, electrolysis is your best option. Both methods take some time. Laser is usually faster because they can cover large areas in a single visit. Both methods will require multiple visits. If you want to leave some hair, stop the treatments once you reach the desired level.

I think some very light, soft, and thin arm hair can be fine as many women have this.

Jessica has provided some good arm hair advice above in her post.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

I use an epilator (an older Braun Silk-Epil 9) on my arms. The hair growth on my arms is rather slow, so I only have to reapply every 2 weeks.

I can't offer any tips since I had a tiny bit before HRT, and I shaved maybe 3 or 4 times, but since HRT, my body has naturally stopped growing hair in my arm pits (even my hair down below stopped growing and I maybe shaved that twice and the hair on my arms and legs went really, really, really fine and downy).

Thank you all for the suggestions. Laser is out because the hair isn't dark enough.
I wouldn't mind electrolysis on my face first! I'm so sick if shaving that and still having visible stubble.

I might have to.look into an epilator for my arms

For electrolysis on your face, laser will be better and a cheaper option, because it can do a wide area.  Electrolysis can only do 1 hair shaft at a time.  But see if you can book a free appointment to get a laser tech to look at your face and suggest what to do.

NancyDrew,
I came back into cding perhaps 6 months ago and a nurse who had been looking after me mentioned she had never been waxed as she used laser hair removal

I looked into that and visited a tevhnician but my grey/white facial hair isn't compatible with laser.

Sadly.  Ok very Sadly... I can't say exactly how sadly

Perhaps my wildy swinging malaise would be comforted by having a somewhat smooth, but hairfree face.

Can't go back so...

At the moment I'd like to hear others experiences of electrolysis.

I'm apprehensive to tell my wife I want to do it because we are in the "why do you want to cd again"

I never had a ton of hair on my arms, but I had my arms waxed over the spring, and had minimal regrowth.
