I would love to have dinner at your place sometime, Davina. You make some of the most interesting, delicious-sounding meals.

This does sound very tasty. Had a few curries with apricots or similar fruits in them. They have a lovely unique taste. Sounds like you made a good batch to last 4 nights!

It's all about priorities, and I *love* good food.

Well the snow went further north (as suspected) ,good snowy tops on the hills. I have to sort out my housing benefit so today its battle with the printer as need to print off bank statements and then scan them back on to the computer so I can add them to the online form. Just hope the printer ink is still working. There might be smoke coming out my ears when my brain blows a fuse.

Well I just fried my brain, how they expect older folks with no computer or internet to fill in the form I dont know. Not sure if the one download loaded for my bank statements, stupid stuff like we need a letter from your landlord showing rent increase, the date any income payments changed and daft stuff like that I dont have. Still sent it as was.

That sounds like a nightmare. These forms are particularly bad to fill in if you use your phone primarily. I literally keep a laptop just for that kind of stuff. But having to scan things in sounds a lot, considering most people don't have that tech.

spells and incantations have always been my fallback response to techno-glitches. But you need to believe (e.g. Peter Pan) before they'll work. Good luck, Davina!

I just provide the landlord's contact information. They can get that information from them. At least they have a fax machine.

I'm allergic to BS.

Doing it on my laptop, managed to download my bank statement as a PDF and drag and drop it into the box. I bet they cant download a PDF!! Last year they phoned me back.
I hope its not frosty tomorrow, that strong wind blew the cover off the car so need to work out how to hold it down before the rain starts on Sunday and lasts all week.
Had a job coming round this morning, was 9.30 when I crawled out of bed! Then I have been dozy all day, I think its hibernation mode.

We got 6 inches of snow last night. I decided today would be a good day to spend all day in PJs and fuzzy socks. I had some breakfast, got chili going in the crockpot for dinner, and was thinking about a nap. But the snow is already melting.

I think I missed my opportunity for hibernation. 😁

It was only 4C at best yesterday, I needed to redo the cover on the Austin but it was still froze to the roof. Today its 11C, wet and windy so will feel colder. Loads of welding to do on the Herferord, made and welded in closing panels from the rear door skin to B post yesterday and have the top bit to do today.
I will have to see if the lady in sewing shop does repairs as my work trousers need patching. Sparks from the grinder cutting steel sheet have rotted the leg and its all split, I tried to sew it but I can no longer push the needle through the material.

11C, its only 7C and very damp. Felt colder than yesterday when it was only 3 or 4, 3 hrs was enough for me today but I got the welding done so I can move onto the next step.
Anyway life chugs along, its microwave chicken and apricot and rice tonight so no faffing about. I might just have a snooze on the sofa time.

You might need to invest in a set of leathers. Great for machine work in the winter. Hotter than Hades in the summer.

Welder playing me up, it got better after a bit so maybe the cold and damp. At least my new welding helmet has turned up so will see if that helps making my welding neater!!

My sister messaged me last night, she is arranging a birthday party for mum as she is 90 in March. She has booked the village hall and has started to sort things out, I said I will bake cakes! Calling in to see her on Thursday morning so we can work some details out. Now I have to make sure she doesn't book a holiday coach trip for that date!
