Fushigi Yuugi "Mysterious Play". It's long, but it's Inuyasha before Inuyasha, essentially.

Okay. I've seen a lot of anime and I'm running out of things that are good to watch. Any suggestions?

Here's the things I like: Stuff that's seriously screwed up. Ghost  Hound, Paranoia Agent, FLCL, Future Diary and When They Cry Higurashi. Anything that seriously deconstructs the typical anime tropes, like Magica Modika, Gurren Laggan, Princess Tutu, and Sword Art Online.

Things I don't like: Harem anime, arena anime, and, uh, Naruto.

Finally got around to finishing Princess Tutu. It really picks up at the end and gets really good  ;D

Shodan, if you haven't watched Revolutionary Girl Utena yet and you liked Tutu and Madoka, I cannot recommend it enough. They both took some inspiration from it, particularly Princess Tutu. They do call it "Utena Lite" in some circles  ;)

Currently as in right now?

Well I've been in a bit of a funk and a drought, but recently watched the 12 currently available on Crunchyroll eps of Love Live.

Sort of a K-On type show. A group of girls, and a focus on music.
Well being TG is no treat, but becoming separated has sure caused me more trouble that being TG ever will be. So if I post, consider it me trying to distract myself from being lonely, not my needing to discuss being TG. I don't want to be separated a lot more than not wanting to be male looking.

I've recently rediscovered Naruto. It's hilarious!

I started rewatching Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. Still just as awesome as the last time I watched it  ;D I keep thinking about getting back into Naruto, but it's been so long there's no way I'd have the patience to catch back up :/

Just finished Girls und Panzer, a show that proves Hollywood can EASILY be out done by some common animators regardless of how many cgi geniuses Hollywood seems to think it has use of.

Being a tank model fanatic, when I say this show is crawling with superbly well drawn armour, well I would know.

The girls are funny, the premise of the show is funny, the plot is different enough to be amusing.

There was almost not one lick of fan service (unless you like tank porn I guess hehe).

No idea if there is to be more after this one season, but it concludes adequately.

Found a new series on Hulu. 'Satan is a Part-Timer.' Only two episodes up so far, but so far it's proving to be fairly amusing.

That was given the nod by an anime friend of mine as well.

He also says Attack on Titan may be THE anime of this season.

I've been watching Bakemonogatari. I like it, it has a pretty unique structure to it, and the characters actually feel like they have great depth and  individuality from each other, which is sometimes overlooked in harem type anime. Meme and Suruga are probably the most interesting characters around, but I respect the things Hitagi can do with a stapler  ;D

Just started watching that and... yeah. I think I'd have to agree. If the first 5 minutes don't hook you then there's something wrong with you.

I've been mostly just reading manga lately, does that count?  Reading Gamaran and History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi right now.

After years of not watching anime, I succumbed to watching Shingeki no Kyojin after a friend recommended it.
I shall punish him for that later because now I'm dying since there are no more subbed episodes available. :I

Idk but it's strange and funny. Two girls with guns on different teams at a school?

I was feeling nostalgic so I broke out my old Urusei Yatsura collection. :)
... and I'm listening to my old Bubblegum Crisis soundtracks
... ... I swear I didn't set out to be an old-school anime fan; it just kinda happened!

I think it's called getting older. :P

Watched a chunk of Attack on Titan, and to be honest, some of the images, the sequences are a bit disturbing. I found it very gloomy and not in any fashion 'funny' and lacking in fun factor. It's a grim concept show.

I have recently watched a bunch of Sword Art Online, and I do indeed recommend it especially if you are an MMO gamer. Not overly funny not overly serious, good plot structure, good story over all, you get lots of romantic moments, a nice bad guy, the usual hero and heroine.

In the end though, I find myself often drawn to just watch older established anime greats.

I have been so into Attack On Titan lately, it's unreal. I wanted to avoid it because I felt like it was being overhyped, but then I felt the same way about Madoka and look how that turned out  :P As soon as I started watching I was completely pulled in, I even started reading the manga  ;D The thing about it is it's really dark, so even when there's humor it tends to be dark or it comes right after you've seen something really messed up. It doesn't even try to be funny until after the first few episodes, but when it does there a few great gems. It has it's own sense of humor. Trust me, there's one scene in particular I'll never stop laughing at. If it's too grim for your tastes though, that won't change as it goes on. It's not an easy watch.

IMO, it picks up after the first four episodes and really starts to get into the swing of things. Mostly because they're trying to milk as many episodes as they can out of the manga, so they stretch some scenes and chapters out a lot. They don't get to the meat right away, but it's rewarding when they do.

I've been keeping up on Monogatari lately, and after watching Bake, Nise, and Neko, but before the new season, burned through the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure TV series from last year.  Oh, and Rebuild 3.33.  I've been on more of a manga kick and have read all of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure up to chapter 14 of Jojolion and more recently read Girl Friends.

All of those things, every one of them, was amazing, though probably least of all Eva.  Wow.  If I could go back in time and tell myself in '98 that Eva would one day be the anime I'd be most nonplussed about in recounting recent viewings / readings, young me would be absolutely shocked.  She'd probably also be like, "Oh, hey, I do grow up to be a woman!  Heck yeah!"
