...or maybe a down-date lol.

Update: I held off for a while after seeing the Endo in waiting for info. The Endo has a remarkable career in the medical world. Only had about 12 minutes with him. He had some family health history questions. I suppose any info on my gender dysphoria to be female was forwarded from my GP Dr. G., so I really didn't have to explain my being female history. He answered some of my questions. I showed him some of my pics of me dressed as a lady & had a positive response from him. He went right on easily in saying I could go forward transitioning as much as I cared to go. Did some blood tests. Said he would call me in a week. More than a week passed I left voice messages. Nothing. Aug. 16 I saw my GP Dr. G. & told her that the Endo refers people that want to transition to CAMH. I told her I had two friends that were so badly treated there that they got depressed & nearly lost their lives to suicide attempts. I said even if the Endo calls me I will not go to CAMH. When I got home I had a call from the Endo office that my blood work is good. Nothing else in a month.

So I will be sending an application shortly to put me on the one year wait list at the Sherbourne Health Center. After all these years I guess it doesn't matter if this part of my life plan is put on hold for a year. I was so hoping I could have gotten this done in my area now instead of the drive in to Toronto.

So no transition progress info. from me for a long time.

Have a good weekend all.

That's a bugger.  :(
My Endo was not really interested in the Psych side of things either, just family risk factors, other medications etc.
Hope they can all get their act together for you.

Karen.

Hi Karen,

I agree with your comment. Bummer. Sept. 6 I was in to see my Asthma specialist, whose office is next to the Endo's. I saw the Endo receptionist that I haven't heard from him in a month re a report. A day later she phoned me and said it was my GP that had to do the referal. I spoke to my GP reception about that & she said she hadn't received a report from the Endo yet. She said she would call & hopefully get back to me this past week. Still haven't heard anything. I thought if the Endo could get me a letter to proceed, I thought I could seek out a gender psychology therapist. I seem to recognize a good one in the north end of Toronto but has a secondary office in a suburb just east of me, a short drive.

Karen, like you say the Endo doesn't seem interested in Psych, a referral and why he can't figure out dosage for hormones & have my GP prescribe them.

Just when I thought I was going to get some forward momentum, now I am stuck in lala land.

Oh, well, patience is a virtue.
Cheers
