What's a beanie? I'm imagining a beanbag...someone please enlighten me lol

Also with winter hats I think it depends on the shape of your face. If your face looks what people associate with as "feminine features" a hat might actually make them stand out more.

A knitted winter hat. Some places call them a toboggan.

They don't make me look extremely girlie, more andro, I suppose. I want to look more male. The newsboy cap is nice. Not that warm. I wear the beanie in the morning and the newsboy in the afternoon.

Ah a toque. Thanks A word like "beanie" makes me think of beanie babies instead of hats...or that the toque should be stuffed with beans lol

@OP what about one of those toques that have a bill like a baseball hat? I see a lot of guys wearing them, and because it has the bill it might have the same effect on your face as a baseball hat.

I wondered about these billed beanies but they look silly on me. On the plus side, I just got correctly gendered-- first time rather close up. I was in the supermarket and the lady says "excuse me sir". It's so hard to resist a "YES!" under the circumstances. I was wearing the newsboy cap.

I've had luck with hats too. I get a lot less ma'ma with hats.
