The sun is in a different constellation now than when astrology was created a few thousand years ago.  Yup, the earth has moved a bit and the stars have changed. Astrology hasn't kept up to date.

4000 years ago... when this stuff was created, my sign was Scorpio (which is what I would normally look up in the newspaper under my birthdate).  But these days, 4000 years later, on my birthday, the sun is in Virgo.

WRONG!

The sun is in Virgo on my Birthday!  Now, with that information being so fundamentally wrong, how could any of the rest of it have any merit?

So Tink, what do you recommend for me.  Should I go with Virgo or Scorpio?  I actually prefer to take the constellation Ophiuchus.  It too is in the ecliptic plane (the sun is in Ophiuchus from Nov 30 to Dec 17)... it also takes up a huge piece of the sky, more than some of the others.  But if it were included in the zodiac, we'd have 13 signs!
