Came out to my brother via phone, we live on opposite sides of the pond. We had a great laugh about what we thought our dad will say when it's his turn to get the news. My brother pointed out that it was a one shot deal since if he survived the initial phone call I'd be written out of the will, just kidding btw :D

I'm happy that everyone is taking this well, although I'm not sure why many people think I'm joking initially, I don't think this is the sort of thing people joke about or do they?

I'm going to my first Mary Kay party... Doing the facial and a total makeup make over... Might even learn a few makeup tips... Party is being held by a person in my Transgender group so don't have to worry about the whole pass / fail thing... WooHoo!

It's funny, I've had some people say you are kidding/joking & I've said no, not at all & laughed, then told them the brief story. If they are OK, that's fine, if not that's OK too. Life is too short to worry about everyone.
mtF, mid 50's, always a girl since childhood, HRT (Spiro, E & Fin.) since 8-13. Hormone levels are t at 12 & estrogen at 186. Face lift & eye lid surgery in 2014. Abdominoplasty/tummy tuck & some facial surgery May, 2015. Life is good for me. Love long nails & handsome men! Hopeful for my GRS & a nice normal depth vagina maybe by late summer. 5' 8", 180 pounds, 14 dress size, size 9.5 shoes. I'm kind of an elegant woman & like everything pink, nice & neet. Love my nails & classic Revlon Red. Moving back to Florida, so excited but so much work moving

Told my older brother tonight. We cried, he said I need you in my life. We will get through it together. I was so scared. He was the only one in my family I NEEDED to accept and he did!!! How can your face hurt from smiling and crying at the same time?! :) :)  :)

Going for my final surgery consult tomorrow, every woman in the lab came and gave me a hug before I left work. So sweet!!

Are we going to have a big bash to celebrate sis?

Went on a bike ride last night. rode 80k through Sydney after dark on cycle ways out to the Olympic stadium and back.
Very different and very safe as mostly off road. Felt strange heading out after dark. Even stranger getting home at 11pm.
Good ride though.

I have been feeling unreasonably happy of late. I love going in to work - just for the fact it gives me the opportunity to dress as, and go out into the world and be, the woman I've always known myself to be. People are still finding out about my transition and all have been so supportive and accepting. Today someone I once worked with and who I very occasionally bump into on the train into the city came right up to me and said hello on the platform. He'd read the self-outing article I'd written in my organisation's newsletter and wanted to congratulate me. We chatted all the way into the city. Later today I bumped into someone I know professionally through another organisation, haven't seen him for months and yet without blinking or stammering or pausing he said "Hello Grace, great to see you" as if nothing was different. Remarkable. I'm just... wow... happy!

Today is my birthday, so yea! I've always loved this time of the year. All green, little birds a chirping, new life going on. I feel great. So I'm a happy girl today.

Brought my friends scooter from Picyaune to Pearl river.  First time I have been on a scooter or motorcycle since I was 24.  I forgot how much fun it is.  Also got checked out by a few bikers who rode with me for a few miles before I missed my exit.
Completely loved it.  Now I get to go work on my sailboat and spend the rest of the day doing that.

Thank you so much girl friend. I'm baking a nice little birthday cake, Pink Lemonade mix & Pink Lemonade frosting. It's cooking. I guess on my birthday it's OK to go off my diet. I wish I had some friends around but most of mine are facebook & SP's friends & all so far away.

Rosie, thank you. Rosie is such a nice name. I hope life is well with you today. Actually I did not light the candles. I'll wait until Saturday. I'll see a good friend then & light the candles. I did OK with the cake, it's always so hard to smooth out the icing. I should have whipped it smoother before starting, it was kind of cold, just out of the container. I'm so glad for my friends at Susan's Place. I'll be so glad one day to finally become a physically correct woman so I can find a new man to be with. It's lonely for now.

Just got my ears pierced, wen't to a professional piercing/tattoo place, super smooth and I was amazed by how much even just studs feminize my look, wohoooooo.

Great for you, I'm sure they are balanced. Sometimes if a friend does it they are not just right.

The piercing artist actually took like 10 minutes to correctly place the dots, then brought out a calliper and measured angles. I'm really happy with the results and I gave him a good tip to show it!

Unfortunately I have to wear these drab studs for 3 months now and wash my ears with saline twice a day but It's all good.
