Yesterday I got the dead ends of my hair taken care of and my hair has gotten so much fuller on top according to my hair dresser and I agree. Here is the result:

Being 4 months on T I'm starting to realise that I'm beginning to like how I look. Plus my dysphoria is almost non existant; simply a low buzz in the background of my brain instead of the static noise it was before. Sure I wish my body was slimmer but I don't hate my body because I'm trans really.

So yesterday my partner wanted to go to Home Depot for some paint and stuff and I had originally intended to attend the last day of the keystone conference. I decided to save the 50 bucks that the conference would have cost us and treated us to a nice dinner.
Now, I'm not full time but I'm 3 months on e now and chomping at the bit to go full time. So instead of going to a safe place to present as female, I put on my makeup and some casual cloths, and we went shopping and to the restaurant.
To be honest, I was scared sh**less, but no one pointed and laughed. The woman at Home Depot took a little to much interest in my ID when we bought spray paint, but overall it left me feeling better about myself.

My wife and I drew a monster face in the sand at the bottom of the playground slide so it looked like our daughter was sliding into its gaping maw.

I went out in full Sofia garb today. It was pretty fantastic! I have some wonderful friends who are recognizing my need to be pulled out a bit. Went to a place that would be relatively safe space, then we went to a restaurant that was definitely not safe space, lol. But still, everything went well! Of course, I still have my facial hair, so I am jarring to look at atm...

What made me happy today? I came out at work today in front of about 80 people. It is a very accepting place, but I never dreamed it would go so well. My partner and I got a standing ovation. We got like twenty people lined up to hug us. I was amazed and so thankful. I kind of feel bad because others have not had it go well for them. I guess it is nice to know that there are accepting people out there.
For anyone thinking about coming out, I would recommend telling people face to face. The first thing I said was that I was trying to respect them. They all appreciated the honesty and respect showed for them.

I've been dealing with a lot of issues concerning things about myself. I am adopted, so there is a host of rejection and abandonment issues. I have a cerebral palsy, so I have issues with being disabled. And I am trans, so having issues with not transitioning yet and dealing with gender dysphoria.

That sounds kind of heavy, right? Well for a little while it was today. But I gave myself a pretty good pep talk about how strong and how much of a bad ass I am for getting help for the issues I have. How I am working on moving forward. In however small a step or however a big a step I need it to be for the day.

And, once again, I've lost track of the MtF specific version of this thread where I've already found cause to make two posts today. Sometimes, when you're feeling a little depressed the Universe conspires to cheer you up. To wit:

I tried to call my sister today as I haven't in a couple of weeks and I was feeling down. Recently on Facebook I replaced my gender neutral picture and gender of "pending" with the same picture I'm using here and "female". That's the setup, dig? This my sister said to me:

"Someone asked me if I had any siblings and I told her just one. That got me thinking. Are you my sister now? I've always wanted a sister!"

Of course I said "yes"!
