Hi Chi

Oh, the double life is not much fun.  When I fell off a bike and broke my arm last year, just before I went full time, it was actually a type of relief, as I worked from home for 3 weeks and could abandon the schizophrenic double life!

You may find it useful to post a thread here asking for people's experiences of transition as a teaching professional inside a primary/secondary education system.  You will almost certainly get a lot of very useful insight.

Good luck!
Julia

Thank you Julia! I know what you mean :z Half Term (One week school holiday) is over here and I'm back to work tomorrow wearing a wig and looking very different to how I've been all week.  Weekends often feel like relief but at the same time if I see a student or a student's family out and about I have to duck and dodge which is never relaxing >_<
I think that's a really good idea about posting something regarding being a teacher, I'm quite excited to do that now! I'm not sure yet where I post questions like that but once I've worked it out I'm going to see if anyone has similar experiences they could share with me ^_^  Thank you again x

Returning from walk and walking to and from the bus stop wasn't much fun for me. It waa good to huddle in front of the fire when I got back in  :)

You have a fire in London?! I'm so jealous >_<  Then again I don't think I'd ever leave the house :p  I have a kotatsu which is like a heated blanket/table thing and that makes me lazy enough lol.  x

Welcome!

Aren't those kotatsu crazy comfy? I live in Osaka and I have certainly abused mine in the last several months. It's been raining all winter here. Fortunately I've been able to sit on my couch and under my kotatsu at the same time. It's saved my poor butt as I have no padding!

Take a look around, you'll find we are all pretty friendly and it's a very international community. I look forward to seeing you around.

Hi Kalex! Ahh that makes me feel less alone too ^_^ Thank you for your welcome.  Unfortunately I haven't posted enough to see your profile yet but I will when I have done so   Funnily enough I deleted my Tumblr/ao3 like three weeks ago  :embarrassed: but I will definitely check out yours when I can :) I would love to keep messaging you x

I have a takoyaki place two blocks away... Now that you mention it I think my healthy dinner plans are spoiled! I was gonna be good and eat veggies and miso... Not anymore! The food here is amazing. There's a new line of wasabi, shoyou and butter crackers... They are amazing. And now I have to go get food! :D

Ahhhh I'm so sad  :'( I want to eat all the amazing food so badly! Hah sorry about your dinner plans but really miso and veggies - that is just a starter surely? :p  Although that being said I am now planning on having zaru soba  tonight  :) I don't eat meat so it's a  nice dish for me, but I really want to up my protein intake so I've been trying lots of nut bar things

Hello from a fellow Londoner!

I'm based in Greenwich (I go to the University here) and I'm also pre-everything, so if you ever fancy meeting up for a coffee and a chat/grumble about pre-T life, I'm totally up for that!
