You're lucky, I wish I could look like # 2 without all the effort. If I half ass it, or go without make-up, I usually end up looking like... well... "number two".

side note: I do tend to go with #1 a lot for special occasions and such but as an everyday thing, yeah it's a little much.

#2 is pretty quick thankfully

I think you make a great point about blending....I guess the trick is not to overdo it....

Not over-doing the eyshadow will most definitely help, if the aim is to blend in. Nothing wrong with wanting to stand out though. I know not over-doing it is the trick, but like I said, I've noticed the majority of women in public have no eyeshadow on at all. The eyes are also often the first point in the face that people look at when staring at others, so as much as possible I just avoid eyeshadow now.

I'm more of a contour and highlight girl.
