It's been nearly three months since my last post here. I'll keep it short.
We fixed the leak in the garage ceiling. It was coming from one of the hydronic heating lines (we have heated floors). Two of the lines were attached to a copper fitting using spring clamps, and the spring clamps were too far away from the fitting. Moving the clamps closer to the copper fitting solved the issue.
In late September, we took a trip down to Louisiana and Arkansas. We visited my brother and his wife, and I had appointments with my dermatologist and primary care doctor in Arkansas. At my last visit, my doctor told me some of her trans patients were having trouble getting injection supplies. I gave her five 'sample' kits she could distribute to those in need. Sharps containers, needles, syringes, alcohol prep pads, and estradiol valerate. My prescription provides more estradiol than I need, and I would rather help others than see it expire and go to waste.
Over the last several months, my skin continued to dry out. No matter how much lotion or body oil I used, the skin on my legs peeled off as though they had been sunburned. My upper chest would itch and burn throughout the day. Last Thursday we had a water treatment system installed. While it may be too soon to declare victory, my skin is already beginning to recover.
While I have not set a specific date yet, I am currently planning to retire in March 2028.
