Thanks for the hug Sephirah, I really needed it.
I went back to the dentist on 6 Nov, they needed to do a little more prep work on my tooth. They made a new temporary crown, which fell off as soon as I got home. I called their office that night. They returned my call the next morning and asked if it was causing any discomfort. Since it wasn't, they said just to wait for the permanent crown. The permanent crown should arrive on 24 Nov.
I did start exercising again. I'm using a Peloton bike a friend gave me. He said his wife wanted it, but she never used it, so now it's ours. We have a Schwinn exercise bike as well. The Schwinn can't be adjusted to fit me properly, but the Peloton can be adjusted for taller people. I swapped out the clip-in pedals for some standard 'flat' pedals, and I added a more comfortable saddle. Now I can eat a few extra cookies.
I had another one hour electrolysis appointment with Kris last Thursday. We discussed possibly changing my visits to one Saturday a month. She could put in 3 - 4 hours of electrolysis, we could go out for lunch, then we could visit the local firing range.
I had to do some mainframe IT work yesterday evening (Saturday). We replaced some database monitoring software with a similar product from a different vendor. The products are mutually exclusive -- they can't both be running on the same system at the same time or some sort of universe ending cataclysm could occur. I think all vendors say that. It has been running in our Development environment for months without issue. Unfortunately, we could not start it in our Production environment for validation ahead of time. I was somewhat apprehensive about the change, but I had requested the vendor to be online with us during the implementation. I think we were all shocked when it started perfectly on every system.
The light fixture in one of the primary bedroom closets was fluorescent, and it hummed when I turned it on. Today, I replaced it with an equivalent sized LED fixture. Working with a 4ft long light fixture in an enclosed area with 10ft ceilings is not fun. My shoulders are going to be complaining for days.
We got some great news today! For the first time in many years, both of our daughters are planning to visit us for Christmas. They are trying to coordinate their flights so they can travel to and from the airport together.
Love always -- Jessica Rose
