Because I didn't think my hair could look this good. Just didn't think the raw materials were there

Very nice! I'd throw myself in front of a steamroller to protect my hairdresser.

I usually break out the garden tools to work on it, a steamroller certainly would be faster!  ;D

Hey Declan,

A steamroller would be faster but only if the rollers are heated  >:-)

I still haven't decided what to do with mine.  It is curly/wavy and quite thick.  When I am doing things like carpentry I tie it up to keep hair out of my face.  At horse shows I have to tie it up.  Most of the rest of the time I have it down.

Guess I should post a picture (I hate them all though)

I find it amazing what a skilled hair stylist can do with my hair as well.
I usually go to my stylist and manicurist at least once a month,  (or perhaps more if I have an important function or date)...  to straighten out whatever mess I have made of things...
It is obviously much more of a task than just scissors and combing!!  Their experience and artistry is essential.

I've been growing my hair from a buzz cut for almost a year now and haven't been to a hairdresser yet. Honestly I may not go for a couple more years and trim split ends on my own as they happen. I don't use any heat or dye my hair, I'm also fairly healthy. We'll see where my hair journey goes.
