28 Days Later is amazing. The first sequel, 28 Weeks Later is... it's okay. The final one in the trilogy, 28 Years Later is... what did I even just watch?
I liked Walking Dead up to... maybe season 5. Then it went downhill badly when they tried to make it into Lord of the Rings with zombies. It recovered somewhat in the last couple of seasons when the writers decided what they actually wanted to do.
Fear The Walking Dead was good for the first few seasons, until Morgan decided to show up and they basically wanted it to be The Walking Dead 2.0. I have seen all the spin-offs, they are largely meh.
If you haven't seen it, one of the better zombie movies is a movie with Arnie Schwarzenegger. But it's not what you think. It's called
Maggie. I urge you to watch it. It's very human, and shows that Arnie is more than a one dimensional actor. I really enjoyed it.
Oh, and in a nod to our own
@Sarah B, if you want a fantastic Aussie zombie movie, watch
Wyrmwood. It's completely bonkers mental. On the flip side, watch a movie called
Cargo. It's massively touching. Australia does some really great zombie movies.
