One of our daughters participated in a group motorcycle ride today. It set new world records for the largest simultaneous women's motorcycle ride and the largest women's only motorcycle gathering -- 1433 people! Yes, they coordinated with law enforcement to help with the traffic.

That's pretty cool Jessica. Those rides are pretty epic.

I remember when I first moved to my current house I was totally unaware that on Easter Sunday there was a charity mass bike ride that converged on the pub 100 yards away. I was just sitting chilling in my living room when all of a sudden, hundreds of bikers just decended completly blocking the road for over an hour. It was an incredible atmosphere. Everyone one was very friendly. The ride went to several pubs in the area collecting chocolate easter eggs that people had donated, before taking them all to a local childrens hospice. It was a lovely excuse for a gathering like that. Sadly the police eventually stopped it as they were saying it had to be insured and policed and there was a huge cost to doing that so it ended. I had it for three years though, quite the spectacle.

To have that many female riders though must have been pretty special.
