We had snow on the ground here, a few days ago. It is now gone and the forecast is above zero (C) for at least 10 days. But come winter there'll be 60-120 cm of snow, depending on how much it snows and how many periods with warmer (0C to +4C or thereabout) weather we get.
I'd like more summer and less winter but the weather is what it is and I live where I live. Seasonal variation is quite nice, actually.

It was humid and hit the low 80's here in WV. Fall is starting to get colorful. Supposed to get down to 30 tomorrow night. I will take my 4 seasons over your, winter- winter- winter- and not winter! 😀

Gina, do you get winter in WV?

My rather uneducated and totally wild guess would be that in places with a bit of elevation you have real winter. Long periods of snow, probably lots of snow in some places, and weeks or even months below freezing point. But in lowlands, probably not.
Feel free to bash me if I am totally off.
