I have not been posting and sharing very much lately because my office work is crazy busy with all the procrastinators bringing in their Federal Income Tax work.  I like the extra business but all at once puts a strain on me and my workers in my little office. 

Until a week after the April 15th filing deadline it will still be 6 or 7 days a week, early mornings till mid-evenings having meals and lots of coffee all day at the next door coffee shop.  Then after it calms down in about 2 weeks I may take a break and/or a road trip, perhaps going back to see my parents again in Montana.  My dad continues to be in and out of the Emergency Room so he is not getting better. (sad face)

I hope that all of my USA friends have already or soon taking care of getting taxes filed.

My stuff is in with my CPA. I procrastinated a little bit not much.
Every year is a little less.

I used to file in January or February, depending on how soon I had my paperwork.

Then I decided it was too much work, so I gave all accountants and CPAs a break. I haven't filed in over ten years. (My income is tax-exempt. I'm not a scofflaw.)

Thank you for your kind reply and heartfelt words...
YES... I will gladly covet and accept your prayers for me and for
my dad in Montana...thank you.

I will get a little more rest when the income tax season comes to a close,
however my CPA and Financial Advising business is year round with private clients
and also with business clients that have to deal with payroll and other taxes
monthly.

Again Paulie, thank you for keeping me in your prayers.  Very much appreciated.

On this cool and rainy Sunday morning I am getting ready to go to Sunday school and Church in less than an hour from now.
As usual, after church I am going out to lunch with my supportive "Church Gals" group and then maybe go home for Sunday afternoon nap.  I have been working extremely long hours and I am tired.

April 15th today .....  Last Day - USA Federal Income Tax filing deadline. 
I am still at my office dealing with two last minute tax filers.

I now have 2 more filings that I am now working on to get them
sent in before I close my office and I finally go home tonight.

Yes you are on the home stretch.  Just think of the carrot in front of you.  Vacation time or R&R is what you need to plan for.

I bet that's a beautiful trip Danielle. When I go up to Scotland on holiday I only do about 380 miles there back. That's reasonably long distance for people in the UK. The longest journey I ever did was driving to to Amsterdam but that was only 430 mile return trip (not counting the distance across the North sea of course)! The numbers you guys are doing is mind boggling.

This is probably not the place to ask the question as it's Jessica's blog but why did you move to Alaska from Montana when you are self employed anyway? Did you just fancy it?

Crikey that was a leap of faith and a half wasn't it! What a strong character you are. It sort of reminds me of a show I used to love called Northern Exposure about a city doctor getting sent out to a small town in Alaska! Hope that doesn't offend! I always fancied going somewhere like that. It looked idylic amongst all the humour!

We are close to the same age, I never married and had no kids either and it makes me look back at my life and think 'what if I had taken the leap of faith myself and came out years ago'. I could have maybe moved to a small town in Scotland and had the same results. I still plan to one day. But I don't want to come out and cause friction with my elderly father. I should have done something before now.

I am curious to see if you ever acted on those romantic advances!

Anyway, I just wanted to say how inspiring your back story was. I will have to go back and take a look at your blog because you have lived quite the life so far.
