Keep warm and comfortable.

The family party idea sounds good.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Thanks,no workshop today as have stuff to do at home. Used the left over turkey from Christmas that I froze along with some of the gravy, sliced it up and heated it in the gravy on the hob and made some roast potatoes and veg in airfryer as well as steamed veg. Rest of that for tonight.
Walking up town in a bit to get my meds (patches) and see if the lady at sewing shop will patch my work trousers. Frosty this morning but not raining today.

Called in on my sister at work (she helps her daughter with her laundry business) and we sorted out stuff for mums party. I have to bake 2 cakes, a Madeira I will ice and a lemon drizzle. She has sorted out food from a cafe from one of the girls she works with and has a list of folks to invite, looks like it might be 50 !
They had some packs of cubed lamb in so I got 2 packs for the freezer.

You'll need big cakes for 50 people! I imagine your baking to be very tasty especially reading about all the lovely food you cook. Both of those cakes are lovely, particularly a nice lemon drizzle. I must say though a coffee and walnut cake is my personal favourite.

Yesterday I made and welded in an awkward shape where the rear wing fits to the body, today I have an even more difficult shape to make where the inner wheel arch joins the boot floor as it curves 2 ways. I have seen on video how to make a shape like that without fancy tools so will see how I get on.
Everything else in my life is just daily routine so nothing much to say, looks like a good start to the day with blueish sky and broken cloud but might have some light rain later. 9C.

Hope you manage to weld today's complex panel successfully. It's much nicer outside today as you mention.  Got sunshine in Birmingham today.

Have a nice day 😊

More welding followed by lots of grinding the last 2 days, still have pinholes to weld up and finish the grinding then the rear wing will be finally done.
Docs rang this morning, you need to be on Statins. This is from a blood test done nearly a year ago! I said no as I never took the ones from before. I am doing it with diet to lower my border line cholesterol and border line kidney function results. I nearly said how much back hander do you get from the drug company!!!

I have been on a statin for years. Lowered my cholesterol. I wonder if there are unseen consequences. If you can do it with diet, then that's great. I'm not a fan of unneeded meds.

I managed my cholesterol with diet and exercise up until about 60. That no longer worked, so I have been on Rosuvastatin since then. It works perfectly for me.

Statins can have an adverse effect on kidney function, so you'll want to balance that very carefully. Your provider should be aware of the risks and monitor closely. I've known more than one person who had to stop taking statins very quickly because of a rapid decline in kidney function.

Good luck, Davina.

Well today I have (hopefully) a phone call from the council about my housing benefit at 2pm, I filled in the online form but dont know if it went through. I can't afford to live just on my pension so I hope they can sort it. Anyways going to colour my hair first thing, do some clothes wash and cook! Having a bacon, sausage and egg "fry up" for lunch and pork and green beans for dinner (Korean? recipe) .The pork has been marinating since last night, no rice wine vinegar or sherry to go in it but I have made it before without and its fine. Might make some stuffed Parathas as well to use up the cauliflower, not good for the diet but tasty.

Everytime I  read what you're cooking up my mouth ends up watering soo much! These are all so my kinds of food for sure. I'm getting the vibe that cooking is very much a hobby as well as a necessity?

Well I like cooking, going to make apricot short bread as well to use up some dried apricots and have a dessert. Phone call from council was okay, they said we emailed that we will carry on making your housing benefit but when I checked it was just a notice to say you have a form. Right time to go back to the hob!
Also booked the Austin into a show in April (custom bike and car show) and got the details of an auto jumble in March so I can get rid of more stuff and find some bits for the Herferod.

I was a bit "worried" about the large chunks of onion in the Hong Kong pork and green beans but my tummy was okay if a bit windy! A rare thing happened last night, I slept from 11.15 till 6am without getting up for a wee. Went back to sleep and woke fully at 8.30 so a bit behind this morning not that I am in a rush to go and do more welding in my damp workshop.

Onions can definitely be an issue. Often how close to bed they are eaten. I've given up raw onions as they are a recipe for disaster these days. Glad you got well rested.

Bought a whole chicken and jointed it, breasts cut in 2 and carcass in 2 as well. Its bubbling away in my deep pan in its spice yogurt mix and water. Rice and chapati to go with it.
My left leg is still giving me grief on stairs up and down, not the knee joint as far as I can tell just the muscle/tendon. Not recovered properly after the sciatica.
Weird dream last night, I was dancing with one of the professional male dancers from Strictly (Dancing with the Stars for you folks in US) and I was going backwards and doing it fine. Never will happen as my right ankle wont lift my heel off the floor! Still I was having a good time in my dream.
