Must be hibernation time, slept in again!! Still its all my day to do as I please, taking a "lazy" day tomorrow as its forecast as very cold and I need a rest day. Okay so Thurs is shopping day but I find I am busy all that day cooking and cleaning so not much rest.
  The road I take to go shopping is flooded and closed, I can tell by the water level under the causeway when I go the other way out of town to the workshop. Now this road will be very busy as all the traffic coming over the main river bridge has to go this way out of town. Lets hope there is not another storm like the last one for a good while to let the water levels drop.

I gave up going to the workshop today, feeling cold and tired. Its taken a good few hours to get the living room up to temp as well. Spent my time drawing a fuel tank order and just scanned and emailed it to see how much it will cost.

Did they come out to fix your heater yet?

My philosophy is that Mother Nature sometimes sends us "not-so-subtle" hints to take a day off. In winter, a blizzard is a subtle hint. Other times, heavy rain is a subtle hint.

We can't always abide, since we still need to go shopping or do other things. But mostly I try to pay attention to hints and take a rest day.

Next Wednesday, I got a text today. Yet another "day off" then as have to be in Monday for the Ariel man who is redoing the whole thing as he said it was bodged (not surprised as a lot of stuff here is badly done).

Do you have enough blankets and things to stay plenty warm until then if the temperature drops? Hopefully, time will go by quickly and the job will get done right.

Emma if I can't see the hills from my window its raining and if I can see them its going to rain!! Lori I put a fleecy blanket on top of my duvet, I do have a thicker duvet so might put that on. Hot water bottle in bed tonight!

Ssshhhhh dont tell the landlord but I just turned the heater in the bedroom on at main switch and it started working!! Not that I trust  it to keep working due to the fault being in the control panel.

Problems always disappear when the repairman arrives.

Well with my winter duvet and the room heater on 16C I was cosy last night, I have just left the heater on as it might stop working if I change temp. Its a cold and frosty morn, winter coat today.

We have rain today and tomorrow here. 4-8 inches of snow forecast for the High Country (above 11,000 feet elevation). Today is a good day to stay inside and do laundry.

Another good frost this morning, 10 mins scraping and getting the car warm then! Hope my space heater works down the workshop just to warm it up for a bit then the fan heater will take over.
 Have my flu jab tomorrow morning at 9.44 so that will be on the way to workshop, they will have to put up with the dirty work gear so hope I can pull my arm out of my sweatshirt without having to strip right off. Its turning "warm" tomorrow so no frost I hope.

D had some field mushrooms given to him "I dont like them" he said with a shiver!! So dropped some off at mums on the way home, not sure what to do with them yet as all the recipes I have take a good time to cook. I fancy the Pilaf one but that had dried mushrooms as well as fresh , I might just try that as a 1/2 recipe .
 Managed to smash the nail on my r/h middle finger ,it already had a slight bruise working up the nail. That's my typing/scrolling finger and its a bit tender!
 Flu jab this morning, couple of weeks time I will be on a bus trip with mum for a week so it will be full of old folk coughing and sneezing . Well I say old folks but some will be younger than me but I dont feel old. Its when you see them struggling to move and find out they are in early 60s it makes you glad you are still fit, not that I am that fit------
