Well so much for frugal, they had lamb shoulder joint on offer so I asked mum over for a roast dinner on Sunday. Still got a extra large chicken, that will be chicken and apricot curry soon. It was stupid busy in the supermarket today, folks with piled up trolleys. Its just Easter hols not 2 weeks of food!!
  Booked my annual check up at docs, need to lose a few lbs in 3 weeks--------

Aren't they normally open Sunday hours on Good Friday anyway?

Of course they are, folks panic buying!! One lady had a trolley full of wine!

Strangely, toilet paper is one of the first things to disappear from store shelves during an emergency here in the States.  Not sure what that means, but I bought a bidet during COVID to solve that problem.  A wine rack should be my next purchase...

A wine rack is far more useful in an emergency if you ask me!

I was going to phone mum and say bring some mint to make mint sauce if you want some but she just phoned me and said shall I bring some mint! Quick tidy up and whip around with the vac then Lamb in oven for 11 and veg prep. Roast potatoes and carrots, steamed green beans and broccoli and I might do cauliflower cheese .

So I just made a lamb jalfrezi for tea following a recipe, lots of potato, onion, bit of chilli and salt with lots of fresh black pepper. Quite warming!! Mum enjoyed her dinner, steamed veg and roast potatoes came out very tasty.

Its warming up.15C today and so they say up to 20 + for the next 2 days!! Back down to low teens by Thurs before going up again. Hope its good for the car and bike show next weekend. Public hols today in the UK but I am off down the workshop to do some more welding!

Hot today, 25C said my car so I took my sweatshirt off. Welder has been playing up on this new gas bottle with a lot of spatter then a ball of weld fired off and went between my side and upper arm. Have a good 4mm burn hole and that bit of skin is tender!! Gave up on welding after that, its colder next week so sweatshirt back on.
 Gave D a hand to line up the conservatory base lintel, it was 2 L shape bits that join in the centre front. He had it out of square so I showed him how to do it, TBH he is not the best at stuff like this!
