Do you ever work on American muscle or power cars?

I have worked on a few, I used to have a 71 Dodge Challenger 340 RT. That engine went in my full tube drag car. I am helping my friend build the Model T roadster pickup powered by a 427ci small block Chevy engine. It has been on hold through the winter while he sorts out the alloy body work fixings and he has just bought a 37 Chevy pickup built by a well known UK hot rod builder, might get to help on that as well as wiring is a mess.

Took it easy  today, it was warm but with an easterly wind so I put on a dress but as it was short sleeved I wore my fleece jacket. £13 for a 1/2 leg of lamb!! used some of it to go with a packet of lamb from the freezer to make a Dulcha, added some sweet potato to it as well to bulk it out. Have 450g of lamb and 280g plus a leg bone and trimming for a stew bagged up and frozen from the rest. I will get a good few (10?+) meals from that.
 Fitted the optical sound adaptor to my telly and now my sound system works, plug and play and sound system works better (cleaner sounding) than it did before. £16 as well so happy with that.

Just make sure the bottles are properly labeled so you don't confuse engine degreaser with salad dressing.

Managed to do the bit of welding with my sweatshirt on before it got to hot, then I had to do a lot of grinding the welds on the floor down. Made my arms sore from the sparks, a good dollop of cream on them to calm it down.
 Docs just rang and they want to do another follow up blood test, I wonder what they found? High cholesterol, dodgy kidney function? they were all just about okay last year.

Did about an hour and a half welding around the rear lamps and valance, my back started to ache so had a rest. Then I ground down some of the welds, had to stop as back was giving up and I just went to move on the sofa and OUCH. Should have put some cream on my back this morning, will have to now. Having a day off on the car tomorrow anyway.

Laid up this morning, pain cream and pills to the rescue. Having a bacon, sausage, eggs and toast brunch in a bit while I watch the F1 highlights. Cooking afternoon, some sort of chicken dish as defrosted some mini breast fillets and have spring greens to cook as well.

Hope you enjoy your much needed rest and don't need too many painkillers. Thats a proper brunch you're having. Just bacon rolls here, but did devour a roast dinner yesterday.

Debs borrowed my sat nav, she is off to see her granddaughter play soccer in Hereford. Spring greens cooked, I didnt have enough for the recipe so put some broccoli in as well. Chicken curry cooking as I type, its a korma (that just means slow cooked/brazed). Pain killers keeping the worst off so I did manage to walk down the stairs to the car for the sat nav and back up okay.

Well I felt okay when I went to bed, of course the meds had worn off this morning and I struggled to get out of bed. The urgency of the need to pee got me up! Took some pain killers and put some pain cream on and went back to bed hoping it would work. No it didn't so had a hot shower and washed my hair and have now taken  some Ibuprofen, just hope it doesn't give me the runs. The tight muscle has now turned into a painful lower spine, its like a bruise working its way out. I suppose it is a sort of bruise to the muscle? So another sofa day. As we used to say at work thats stopped me farting in church!

made some air fryer cheese scones, quick and easy. Good job as had to sit down after that, made couscous with sardines in tomato sauce, chopped small plumb tomatoes and cucumber with sweet chilli sauce and a cheese scone. Better now meds are working but still cant touch the floor, hope I dont drop anything!!

Woke at 5am and had to get up and take pain pills and cream, managed to nod off a bit. Back was still hurting so got up, after breakfast I took Ibuprofen and that worked. Still stiff but not painful so decided to stay home and let it heal more. Good job as had time to phone docs and get the blood pressure link I missed set up, daft thing is someone else rang me later to sort it out not knowing I had called earlier. Gave them the readings so that was sorted, also asked what had happened to my next patches prescription. She said nothing had come through but I know it had gone down as repeat so she said she would get it sorted. I would have missed this if I had gone to the workshop, good old universe working in mysterious ways!!
 So I have been getting itchy bites when in bed, gave the mattress cover a hot wash and hot tumble dry to kill any bugs .Managed to flip mattress over carefully and gave it a vac as well, online it said use steam cleaner and I would have but I left it down the workshop (woops).

Back is getting better slowly, stood on the scales this morning and have put 2lbs on from being sat around so even more work needed now. Cleaned my living room window as best I can as it has secondary glazing that cant be removed so cleaning the out side facing bit of the inner glass is hard. Would be okay to get at from outside but on 2nd floor, I opened it enough to reach up from the bottom and cleaned as far as my fore arm would go.
 Well its Thursday food shop again, no ice cream or fruit this week as looks like that is what put the lbs on. Need to restock my freezer, chicken portions, frozen fish and frozen veg.
