Davina, I have been hooked on a YouTube series by a British guy named Matt Armstrong. He has a phenomenal garage set up (it helps to have money), and he buys battered high-end cars. He has been fighting a battle with Bugatti. Like Ferrari and BMW, they build the cars with electronic locks so that repairs have to go to their shop, and their parts costs are obscene.
His series is not only about fighting for the right to freely repair a car, but also about how his fight is igniting a global challenge to these car companies and their policy of preventing third-party repairs on cars owned by these third parties.
Anyone should be allowed to purchase a used car, repair it, and have their car systems unlocked without all of this BS.
