On my shopping list, well thats if there is any left in store!! I am up early, sort mums garden out first and then food shop before it gets stupid hot.

Sat here sweating, its gone very hot again and it will last next 3 days. Cooked my pie and had some pastry left over so used 2 of the sausages I bought to make sausage rolls.
  Should have thickened the mushroom soup in the pie but it will be fine.

Hottest day of this heat wave today they say as it will be a bit cooler over the weekend but still in the high 20s. 7.50 and when I get ready off to water mums stuff and down the workshop for a few hours before it gets to 34C . At least my paint will dry!!!

Your paint will be dry before it touches the surface! I doesn't feel as hot today as other days, but still awful. Luckily work has AC and solar PV to run it all day.

Well it took 5hrs, a grinder, die grinder, 2 Dremel stones, blow torch and a pint of release fluid to get heater apart. Ready to clean up tomorrow, I had enough by2pm as sweat running in my eyes even stood in front of my very powerful fan. That will be tomorrows job when its cooler, car said 38.5 when I got in it and 34 on way home. 28 in my flat and sun not around to window yet.

Got it cleaned and painted, needed another shower when I got home as covered in rust dust!! Sister messaged me, mum was eating soup and going for a CT scan later. Dug up the one patch of potatoes as tops had dried up, filled an old ice cream tub 8x4 and there was a good few big ones. Might be a picking of French beans and some rhubarb, sister popping over tomorrow so will see what time and meet her at mums.

Well there is always something to do, if I am doing nothing I have to watch a film or interesting program. Watching Wonder Woman 1984 at the moment as it was on telly, now if I could wish!

Its turned very breezy this morning and a bit cloudy, bit of a "chill" with the fresh air. Its still going to be 31c later though. Will try and do some gardening at mums while its cool, she wanted the peas taken out as something ate the tops off and they are not growing. She has some seeds so (sow?) I will plant them .

Got there at 9 and fed birds, watered tomatoes and picked some rhubarb and a few French beans. Did some weeding and dug trench for peas, found some more potatoes as I was planting peas where spuds were. Soil was nice and crumbly and I followed packet instructions, its a it late TBH but will see. Gave them a good watering as well as the beans and other stuff.
 Sister turned up at 10 so we had a good look at what needs doing, I threw some veg out that had gone bad in the veg fridge. Took the rhubarb and beans home and 2 nectarines, 3 went in the bin. Sister said she didnt have time to cook so looks like I get to use what I find!
  Made that Madras chicken curry using 2 packets of curry kit (they were reduced so cheaper) and 3 chicken breasts, there was 4 in the packet so I roasted the one with potatoes and carrots for dinner as the oven was hot from making a crumble. That was tasty, now I have a lot of cleaning up to do in kitchen!

Thats a chill breeze this morning, going to warm up again though. Right its shower, get a slightly thicker dress on and go water mums plants. Then I will visit her in hospital, times are 10am to 10pm. Lets hope they have sorted the infection and she has some mobility back.

Mother is improving slowly, she had soup, orange jelly and ice cream for lunch and I gave her a hand to take tops off containers. She was sleepy after lunch so I came home, I had been there 2hours. She said they found what the infection is, bladder. I have been telling her to drink more for ages, I saw her urine was dark in the drain tube the other day and its a lot better today. She still has a painful neck, not sure if they are doing much about that apart from painkillers.
 A motor bike rider was doing his best to get fitted with a wooden overcoat on the way back, over took 2 cars and a lorry with traffic coming the other way. Swerved behind the lorry and then over took blind. Thing is I was behind them coming into town, he cut up a van at the mini roundabout the stopped suddenly in front so the van drove round him but then he went past the van with traffic coming so he had to swerve in front again. Very dangerous!

Managed to do some work on the heater controls after I fitted the heater, need D to hold the lower dash panel while I mark mounting holes. Got a bag full of stuff from mums fridge and cupboard before it spoils, hard boiled 6 eggs to use them. Put one on my curry for dinner, I will be making cabbage curry to use it and I chopped 2 tomatoes and cooked them in micro as they were going bad. Potatoes and carrots as well, less for me to get Thurs.

My lads band he plays drums in has had their latest single put on the play list on Planet Rock radio, they are getting more exposer all the time. Looking forward to see them play at the weekend.

I hope that she's doing OK and recovering. The weather despite being sunny is cooler thankfully. I can just about cope again now.

She has been out of bed and walking around the ward with a frame, still on high strength antibiotic drip. She can move her head better as well, I think she cant wait to come home now!
 I was going to make a Keema plate pie but found a Kerala coconut curry kit in the reduced shelf, that will do for a quick meal with some cook from frozen fish. Doing a veg curry to use up some of the stuff from mums.
