Do you think torx drive sucks?

I can't convey how much I hate them

Heyy, Torx drives are great compared with pozi/philips etc. You can properly tighten and most of the time remove much easier because the bit should fit snuggly. Less requirement to push with your body weight to get them tightened / untightened. Usually the problem these days is various plated / steel bolts into aluminium and galvanic welding. You've no hope without a blow torch or stripping threads.

That is the problem, steel screw into alloy, he managed to get one out but has to drill the last one.
  Well I had a day of it, around the supermarket 4 times finding mums stuff, no seeds to put on my porridge. Then had to back the car and teardrop as bloke came and wanted to get in his garage, opened drivers window and it went into auto open before I could stop it. Totaly jammed open so had to strip door to close window, cant do it on my own so managed to get it shut but now not working. Later than I wanted to be now to dye my hair and do my nails!

YES, galvanic welding particularly with steel bolts and screws, spark plugs, etc
into Aluminum can make disassembly a nightmare.
Using an anti-seize lubricant like Permatex makes it much easier.  🔗 [Link: imgbb.com]

Years ago I added a full set of TORX bits to my socket sets and I also have a full set to Torx "screwdrivers"

With TORX you don't have as many issues with stripped or rounded heads on your slotted or philips head screws and bolts.
