Tired today but had to get going to do mums brekie, converted the mechanical (alcohol bulb) temp gauge to electric by cutting up a new cheap gauge and grinding out the alloy casting of the old one. Looks fine and should work okay but needle works backwards to the old internals. Welded some closing plates in boot to rear valance and a ball of weld went down my ankle, made me hop for a bit and have a good burn now. Put Snow Fire on it and that has calmed it

I might try and make a correct display as the numbers are printed on some Perspex sheet that sits behind the glass.

Managed some pin hole welding and grinding for a few hours this morning so its almost ready to put seam sealer on. Might not have bothered to go to the workshop but as I had to do mums breakfast I was 2/3rds way there. Mum has been knitting, good sign she is better.

My laptop has been throwing a wobble, its after an Avast download (thanks Microsoft) .Taken 2 days before it runs smooth, 2 reboots as well. Now the battery is playing up as it turned off while I was watching a You Tube last night. I thought it was just a flat battery but it should tell me to turn on charger, when I did I checked and after 1min it said 36% so I dont think it did go flat hence no warning. Very strange.

Remember that a laptop has a useful life of about three to five years.  It may run longer than that, but advances in technology and hence program upgrades may require better equipment.

I may keep the old one though as some software you really like may not get upgraded and may run only on older machines.

I got it running better but found its now turning itself off after its been on 2hrs, need to have a mooch around settings later. I thought it was the battery but there was plenty of charge, might be a bot?

Forgot to say when I got out my car the other day I saw what looked like a 10p coin on the road, turns out to be a US 1/4! Its a bit battered but I put it in my tool box, strange thing to find on a country road in the middle of the UK.

A lady in the supermarket said move out of this ladies way to her husband, nice when that happens. Curry on the stove, I was naughty and bought a Belgium chocolate cake as it was a reduced price and got mum one as well. Best before date is the 18 and it was a £1 off, just ate a chunk and its very rich.

Well that made my brow moist, that curry had a teaspoon of chilli powder and 3 dried chillies with seeds removed in it. Slightly on the warm side!

I seam sealed all the joints under the Herferod boot floor/rear arches, managed to get some in my hair that was in a pony tail. Ended up cutting a lump of hair off with kitchen scissors and giving it a good wash and condition, think its all gone but will find out when I brush it! ouch ouch-----

Chrissy, great idea. At my computer pub, we can serve smash burgers, smashed potatoes, and a bourbon smash cocktail with a piñata cake for dessert.

Have you tried a hair oil to get stuff out of you hair? I have used Argon oil before and it worked.

Think stronger than chewing gum, I got small bit out but there was no way the big lump was shifting. As I wear a wig the bit I cut off wont show anyway.

@Emma1017 There are tons of mild totally delicious currys you can make. You should not give up on curry just because you don't like heat. Davina, the curry queen of susans, will sort you out a recipe won't you Davina!
