Today is a sad day for me. Although it should be a happy day as it is my 45th wedding anniversary. It has been five years since the love of my life died and I miss still miss her. I think I am going to go to beach later and stare out the ocean we I scatted her ashes.

Ellen,

I'm so sorry sister... I hope you find some peace by the ocean today! My good thoughts and prayers are with you.💕🙏🌸

Hugs!

Let go of the things that no longer serve you... Let go of the pretense of the false persona, it is not you... Let go of the armor that you have worn for a lifetime, to serve the expectations of others and, to protect the woman inside... She needs protection no longer.... She is tired of hiding and more courageous than you know... Let her prove that to you....Let her step out of the dark and feel the light upon her face.... amg🌸

Loss is hard for me, too. I've heard all the platitudes. All the "ways to look at it". I have my wife but have lost many others and I believe sometimes we have to feel the real sadness. We emerged from it when we are ready.

Jessica_Rose

That sounds like a good plan, Ellen. I hope you find some comfort there.

Thank you for your kind thoughts. I parked at the 13th Steer and Pacific Coast Highway where Diane grew up and looked at the beach she loved so much. Although I cried a lot, I concentrated on remembering all the good times we shared over 40 years. I also remembered how much she was loved by my and her family when we cruised out from Newport to Huntington to scatter her ashes 5 years ago to the day.

Last night my little Kiki went to doggie heaven to be with her longtime friend Hopscotch. She laid down by my feet went to rest and passed peacefully in her sleep. I have now lost both dogs that Daine and I shared for a over decade.

My heart is breaking.

Dear Ellen:
I feel extremely sad for your loss.  A loss of a beloved pet is devastating for sure.

It was years ago my beloved cat "Tiger" had lived with me for many years and became
quite ill with kidney disease.  I got Tiger as a tiny little kitten and we were attached
emotionally to each other.

He had started becoming quite lethargic and would spend his evening time at my side or
at my feet as I slept or rested.  Then, one morning he never woke up as he usually
did pawing at my face and meowing for his evening or morning meal.

I cried all morning holding his lifeless body which had grown cold during the
night.  Even though my Veterinarian told me of his soon-coming demise I was devastated.

I feel very sad for you that you eventually lost both of your dogs that you and
your Diane (rip) shared for so many years.

My heart is very much breaking 💔 for you after reading this sad news.

                Rest peacefully Kiki

Many HUGS, Danielle [Northern Star Girl]

Ellen, I am so sorry for your loss. I know hard it can be to have a pet pass away. Even if you know it is coming, it always hits like a ton of bricks. What a beautiful dog you had. Hugs

I can't imagine how terrible that must have been for you Danielle I have always had a cat and loosing them never gets easy but for him to die in your own home is deeply traumatic.

Ellen,

I am sorry for your loss.  I know it hurts.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.
