Maid Marion

The ladies room at Westfarms has individual stalls separated by tile walls that go all the way down to the floor for privacy.  They have the money to do that.

That's really not that unusual over here Marion. You can go in scruffy public loos and they have that!

I've heard a lot of US stalls aren't exactly private.

I tried wearing Tevas yesterday but they won't work for me as beach wear.

I went through my shoe collection and found these Cole Haan sandals that ought to work. 😀

Thanks Charlotte!

The straps are a little loose, so I got out my Roper Whitney hole punch with the optional 1/16 inch punch and tightend up the straps with new holes.

I bought a plastic vernier dial caliper at Harbor Freight for $2 and change yesterday.
Yes, you have to know how to read a vernier scale but the hassle of dead batteries is eliminated.
It reads to the nearest 1/128 inch or 0.05mm.

I told the guy they don't have my phone number because I rarely buy tools.
I didn't tell him that I used to buy tools until I ran out of stuff I needed to buy. Now I buy shoes 😄

Voted today wearing an orange crop top, light pink short shorts, and white block heeled sandals.  Only one person voted before me at that polling station, as it was the primary election, used to select candidates for the general election.

I've successfully moved up to the white tees!  Most play from the white tees, farther back than the Senior or Forward tees.  The municipal course I play on has nicely mowed fairways and thick rough, so my driving accuracy offsets my less than average driving distance.  Long hitters struggle with trees.
I've learned how to hit distance clubs accurately to put the ball on the green, with the ability to get up and down consistently from the bunkers.  A viable strategy is to stop the ball with a bunker and get up and down from there!  I had three Greens in Regulation in the first half dozen holes, the longest being 336 yards.  The average golfer only makes five GIRs in 18 holes, so that pace is much better than average!  It is quite surprising to many that I can play well from there as I'm just 5ft 2in, 108 lbs!
I make a lot of good misses.  I'll hit the ball pure and it will go a little farther than expected and roll off the back of the green.

I didn't have time to do my nails before voting today.  Here is what they look like tonight.

Nice going and pretty sandals. I wish my feet weren't as huge as they are :D it's near impossible to find pretty shoes for me.

I played golf today with Amy, sharing the forward tees for nine holes.  I didn't say anything about gender--she identified me as female after we finished about 75% of the round.

I was swinging the golf club well today, adding even more distance than I've had in previous rounds.  I have a female swing thought for adding distance as I need to keep my left arm from getting to close to the side of my body so my arm doesn't get stuck. 😁

I made three greens in regulation today.  Both Par 3s and a Par 4.  Got a birdie after my 122  yard tee shot stopped five feet from the pin!

The cheap neckace came apart so I re-glued the cord to the metal fittings with E6000.
I also found a non-magnetic chain to use with the magnetic ball marker.

I recently used the E6000 glue to fix a leather watch band as well.

I thought of using it to fix a mouse slide, but instead used some 100% acetone nail polish remover to remove the dirt from the adhesive  and re-attached the slide to the mouse.  Acetone should melt into the plastic to enhance the bond.

After golfing yesterday morning it was a bit early to go to the sub shop so I went to the Asian market and local farm stand.  I made manapua for lunch, which is a steamed bread bun with a pork filling.  I  steamed the frozen gyoza dumplings I just bought and microwaved an ear of corn.  Today I'm having the same.

Amy taught me etiquitte on the golf course she learned from her father.  I had Honors after my birdie.  That is teeing up first because you did best on the previous hole.  She also talked about waiting for the group in front of us to clear the green before our approach shots, now that I can hit the ball far enough to worry about that!
