I brought gluten free Mochiko chicken. Small cubes of tasty chicken thigh battered in a mixture of rice flour, potato flour, Tamari, sugar, garlic, ginger, and scallions. I carefully cut the meat to remove the gristle for excellent mouth feel. Deep fried in new Canola oil to 180 degrees for food safety.
No soy (gluten), eggs, or sesame as these are common as food allergens. Alpha-gal results from tick bites and causes an allergic reaction when beef is eaten.
The host had a new porch but I opted to eat with two other ladies in the old patio area.
I mentioned my religious use of sunscreen and they took the opportunity to talk about how they use to love sunbathing when they were young. I warned one of them about the mosquitoes if they went to the Nature center near the beach. I think that was smart because it is hard to eat and hold a conversation in a crowded area. I went to the porch after eating my lunch.
