Another color that works well with my skin tone/undertone is an olive green.

The orange and green string bikini tops cost me $18 apiece.

It is a brutal test but trying on bikinis will show you if there is a difference between your favorite colors and the colors that make you look good.  I like hot pink but that color clashes with my skin tone.  Sometimes that doesn't matter, like when  you are on the golf course.  Hot pink is very useful for safety reasons so other golfers can track where you and your group are on the golf course and plan accordingly. If holes run along side each other errant balls can land in adjacent fairways.  Good golfers can plan accordingly to stay out of the way.

Taking pictures with flash or out in the mid day sun is a better way to see what other people see.
LED light is often as bad as the ancient florescent lights for figuring out proper colors.
Toward sunset the light will become warmer and distort color perception.

I had my six months follow-up for my retinal tear surgery.  It was a success so I don't have to see them again unless I have another issue!  I wore pigtails to  make it easier to rest my head against the back of a chair.

I did some more research and found that my olive skin is an outlier from the seasonal color analysis!
May explain why I think some pinks look good against my skin tone.
