I was in "Track" in high school and I could lose 5 - 8 pounds after a day at the track, back then
the coach would pass out salt pills to the athletes to help them retain water in their body.
A diet that includes a lot of salt (sodium) has the same effect.

  So the battle of the bugs continue! These pesky gnats, fruit flies, etc. Drains have been cleaned and are covered. Zevo trap plugged in. Fruit fly traps placed. Even a fly ribbon hung. Garbage removed every 3 days. There numbers have dwindled, until.....we had the windows open and then there were a lot of them yesterday. So the conclusion is they are coming through the small holes in the screens. Soon the cold weather will take care of them.
  House... Kitchen cabinets are here. Been pulling some long days installing the flooring. My back is hurting so much! I have less than a week until they come out and measure for the countertop. No prob. My wife has finally figured out that complimenting me, increases my work desire and productivity. Only took 40 years!
  An interesting find, I have been doing a bit of research on ADHD, and am pretty sure I have it. My son has it and probably inherited it from me. All the symptoms fit. Added to the gender dysphoria, it all fits.

Base kitchen cabinets are set and fastened. Wow, that was easy. Only one problem is after ordering them I found the wall corner was not square and fir'd out the studs to fix. Now the fridge will sit an inch and a half out in the hall. Smaller fridge would be an easy fix. But.... Wife is adamant about wanting that BIG fridge. I could build a door frame in the hall to hide it. I will have to think this over more.

We put cabinets and a countertop in our kitchen and discovered that neither end wall was square and the floor was crowned in the middle. Basically the cabinets were the only thing in the kitchen that was properly built.

There are cabinet depth and regular depth refrigerators with the same width but different depths.
There is not that much sacrifice in internal space between them.

My cabinet door and drawer fronts and plinths arrive today, I still have not got my wall cabinets on the wall. My kitchen design is also L shaped. I discovered the wall was over an inch out of square when the studs were still exposed. My solution was to sister 2 x 4s on the existing studs to square it. It worked but I also lost over an inch on the one wall. I have decided the easiest fix to the refrigerator problem is going to be, build a door frame at the end of the hall. This will add a little over 2" to the wall and hide the back of the fridge. This will still leave over 3 feet of opening for the hall. Problem solved!

  Helped out with the set up for the Fall poker run, on Saturday. Cutting trees and clearing the trails. One of our members tipped over. These trails are not for the faint of heart. Then painted Sunday. Countertop measurer is coming today. Carpet measure on Wednesday. Place is showing some promise.
  Weather has been crazy with severe thunderstorms and intense lightning. One storm had a flash of lightning every 2 seconds. Many areas are getting flooded. We were supposed to have a stream crossing, on the poker run, but had to reroute because the water is high.

  The river is receding. Looks like we might be able to have our poker run on Saturday, albeit it will be a muddy one. The road is now passible in front of the community center, where we hold the event. It had had about 3 or 4 feet deep water. One of the trails by my property is still under a few feet of water, but its going down. 
  Had a rough night with hot flashes and cold spells. Now this morning its a dizzy spell. Hormones are at peak, so I think that has something to do with it.
  House renovation...Counter top should be here in 2 weeks. All the cabinets are now hung. Carpet measure is being done today. As for me its more painting today.

Me too. I have so much to do at home but fatigue makes it hard to complete anything
