Quote from: Charlotte Kitty on Yesterday at 12:50:02 PMGood luck, hope it goes well. I tried to use those "Heely" trainers with the built in wheels. I fell and the top of my head smashed the plaster off a brick wall. Not fun!
Yikes! Glad you are still on this side of the grass after that... I will keep you all posted... if you don't hear from me, I am in traction! 😅
Quote from: Lori Dee on Yesterday at 03:02:07 PMAs a kid, I rollerskated a lot. As an adult, I decided to try rollerblades. Not good!
Ash, you are a daredevil! Good luck!
Thanks Lori!!!... If I find in highly unlikely that I will get to the point I can comfortably cruise around without sustaining serious injury, my skateboarding career will be a short one! 😅 So far, I am doing okay... I fall but, I spared no expense on the best padding and it certainly helps! 😀👍
Quote from: Stottie Girl on Yesterday at 03:13:55 PMHey there skater girl! Go you!
I used to be a skater in my teens. I had a broken wrist, index finger and half a front tooth to show for it haha! Maybe I wasn't any good lol! No protection in the 90's though! Santa Cruz board too, a classic!
Thanks Sarah!... I hope to get through this without breaking anything! It amazes me what people skating do without helmets or pads on... scary! But they are young and rubbery! I had a bunch of pads from my snowboarding days but decided to just upgrade everything!
Santa Cruz Skateboards are indeed a classic!... I lived in Santa Cruz in the late 90s and early 2000s just a short block from the Santa Cruz Skateboards Shop... Those days though, I was always out in the water surfing... I had a couple surfboards shaped by Doug Haut, he is one of the founders of SC Skateboards! 🛹🏄
