Thanks Lori!!!... If I find in highly unlikely that I will get to the point I can comfortably cruise around without sustaining serious injury, my skateboarding career will be a short one! 😅 So far, I am doing okay... I fall but, I spared no expense on the best padding and it certainly helps! 😀👍

Thanks Sarah!... I hope to get through this without breaking anything! It amazes me what people skating do without helmets or pads on... scary! But they are young and rubbery! I had a bunch of pads from my snowboarding days but decided to just upgrade everything!

Santa Cruz Skateboards are indeed a classic!... I lived in Santa Cruz in the late 90s and early 2000s just a short block from the Santa Cruz Skateboards Shop... Those days though, I was always out in the water surfing... I had a couple surfboards shaped by Doug Haut, he is one of the founders of SC Skateboards! 🛹🏄

I never had a good balance, I can fall over walking! My kids all used to skate board and my eldest had a top notch board. Keep it shiny side up!!

I used to go on the half pipe without pads or a helmet ha ha! that's where I broke my wrist lol!

Thanks Gina!!! All the running and walking pays dividends I guess... I still feel pretty much like I did in my 30s physically for the most part... Hopefully a bit wiser though!... Love Ya Sis! 🌼

It is too bad you aren't here this week for "Car Week"... They have over 50 events with antiques, muscle cars, exotics and everything in between...

Seeing you with a skateboard reminds me of Farrah Fawcett in "Charlie's Angels", riding hers to chase down a villain. At least as pretty and sexy—at least before you gets on it :-).
My dad bought me one for Christmas in the late '70s. I'm pretty good at skiing, but I never managed to get the hang of that board. So I switched to roller skates... Goodbye to my dreams of being Farrah Fawcett—my new role model was Linda Blair in "Roller Boogie"...

I remember that episode well!... I think I was always a bit envious in those days that I couldn't take my shot at achieving the perfect "Farrah Hair" like all the other girls of the time!... Alas!

Last year we went down to Monterey for my birthday dinner (I love Bubba Gump's) and we didn't realize it was Car Week! You can imagine how long it took us to get from the far end of Cannery Row to where Gump's is.

I hated the Sturgis Bike Rally in South Dakota. I went once, just to say I've been, but not really my thing. The problem was getting to the VA hospital during the first week of August for appointments. The common route is right through downtown Sturgis. Ugh.

I found a back road that cuts through the mountains, through a recreation area, and I would take that if the weather was good.
