I just had my yearly HRT appointment with the clinic today, even with some technical issues (I couldn't log onto my app on my phone and I wasn't near my laptop, and she was having issues on her end, so it was a phone call even though both of us would have liked to have seen each other visually). The nurse-practitioner I was talking to was very nice and she was like (just based on my bloodwork) "This is more of a formality today" than anything else, since from a year ago and even back in September, my prolactin levels have dropped significantly and are only slightly above normal (21.4 ug/L), but she wasn't that concerned with it, especially compared to last year's results. And she even said that, were it not for my atrial fibrillation, I would be fine doing mono E and progesterone, and I don't need the spiro (she wasn't telling me to go off that because at this point its my family doctor and cardiologist that want me on spiro for cardiological reasons, but she did tell me that I could let them know that, as far as transition goes I could be removed from spiro) because my testosterone is 0.4 nmol/L. Even my estrogen is 623 pmol/L, and she was happy with that.
The np today, when she was checking my records, was like, in terms of how long the clinic has been opened, I appeared to be one of the OG's, since she was just recently brought onboard, even though she had been working with transindividuals for years. She was even more surprised when I told her that I had actually started with the provincially-funded clinic that Foria used to be before the provincial government cut funding for virtual clinics, so she was like "then you really are one of the OG's)'
