I listened to this around 4 am when I was visiting my friend in Ohio on 9/9/25. Well, actually, it was the morning of the 10th. Anyway....

We went to a Noise show, and we needed a change of pace once we got back. I brought up Melanie, and he pulled up the "Leftover Wine" album. During this song, he was crying and pointing at me. I had no idea what he was trying to communicate. I was pretty intoxicated. So, I was just getting lost in the music.

Once I was back home, I gave the record another listen and read the lyrics. When I got to this song, it was so obvious why he was upset. Even though the song was written about another subject, I couldn't help but relate it to my time from ages 4-10 in some parts and just being who I am in other parts. I proceeded to cry my eyes out.

I have been listening to some music performed by the Beatles.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Since early March I have been obsessed with The Mountain by Gorillaz.  I saw the new music video and fell in love with the animation style and the music, and the full album did not disappoint

The Gorillaz are an awesome band! You have excellent taste! I've followed them since their first album. I do have a soft spot for Noodle!

Who doesn't love Noodle?!?!?

I had not really been aware of them, except for the songs that get radio airtime on stations like AltNation on SiriusXM.  I also remember having MTV on in the background and seeing some of the early videos.

I've dipped a little bit into the back catalog, but when you are introduced to a longstanding band through the most recent album, it can be such a HUGE tonal shift to rewind to the very beginning.  I think I should probably work backwards one album at a time.

My biggest musical obsession for the last 25 years has been They Might Be Giants, and it's similar with them.  I think their recent album was their 24th studio album or something crazy like that?

I understand what you mean and musically thats probably true but with Gorillaz there is a whole backstory relating to the band that evolves over the albums. Noodle starts out as a little girl for example. I would start off at clint eastwood on the Demon days album and move on from there, the animation story is great to follow.
