A lot of the milder curries (and a few hot ones) have coconut in them. i think it is a Sri Lankan and Goan influence though I could be wrong.

I don't mind fish currry if it is monkfish but otherwise not a fan. King prawns make a nice curry though.

I think it will be beef stroganoff for me tonight.

As t was a kit it came with brown mustard seeds, curry leaves and a dried red chilli. Fry that in hot oil for 20secs and then put in the spiced coconut mix and add a spot of water. Put the frozen white fish in (I had let it defrost in fridge so I could rub some turmeric on) and simmer till fish cooked.
 I have done this from scratch before using my own spices, nice and flavoursome with a good heat.

We made Detroit style pizza from scratch. It's not my favorite kind of pizza, but Megan absolutely nailed the dough and cooking of it.

I like to make cheese pizza sorta from scratch.
I get some store bought flatbread, which is about 7.5 inches by 6.5 inches and add Delallo pizza sauce. Then I add pizza spices.  Then fresh shredded Mozzarella cheese from a block.

Put that in an oven at 450 degrees F for 10-11 minutes.  Makes about six slices.  Yummy.

I am tempted to make a pizza now, but I am not hungry.

This Sunday evening I enjoyed a Caesar salad.

I had some French vanilla ice cream too later.

Friends over today and we go the 🇮🇹 way, the Tuscany way.

Bruschetta.
Fettucine with Salsiccia ragú.
Beef tenderloin and Salsiccia, with a black/white pepper sauce and a fried garlic-ish green salad.
Pannacotta.
And red wine from Tuscany, of course.

Other friends tomorrow: Southern Italy, Neapolitan pizza.

Out to self since March 5, 2026. My wife knows it all since June 23.
Integration ongoing. I'll cross the transition bridge when I get to it.
