Guess I shouldn't have climbed that fence then...

Heading back to the UK on a train through the Chunnel. We paid for priority, so that's the front of the train. You drive in the back and go through all the cars of the train then exit at the front.

Seems nice and easy. I'll have to try that some time. Do you sit in the car during the ride?

Yes, but you can get out if you like. There isn't much to see and the crossing is only about 35 minutes once the train starts moving.

Been enjoying watching some travel shows on streaming services.

I have a lot of vacation time, perhaps I should take some.

Perhaps an expedition cruise.  Could take a dip in the waters off of Greenland!

Francis Brennan is featured in a cruise show documentary on Amazon Video called All Hands On Deck.  I think he is an Irish hotelier.

On the show he takes over cruise ships roles such as Entertainment Director and Hotel General Manager.

Fun to watch.

The show may also be on other streaming services.

Have you been to Norway?

Norway on a cruise is fantastic. We did it a couple of years ago trying to see the northern lights.

We didn't get to see them due to poor weather but the scenery was fantastic.

The highlight might have been raindeer sledding followed by a talk by a young Sami woman telling us about her peoples history and how they had been persecuted and marginalised through their history.

It was pretty expensive but absolutely beautiful
And then one day you stop to find,
10 years have got behind you,
no one told you when to run,
you missed the starting gun

Yes 😉
It is like Petunia wrote. Beautiful. Breathtakingly beautiful along the coastline, with the fjords.
And expensive.
I'd say that summer is the time to visit, unless you want to go skiing or experience the snow and cold and the darkness. But the northern lights are a winter phenonenon as you need clear skies and darkness to see it, and that means winter and cold (cold weather, from high pressure, means more clear skies).

Is the Northern Lights, Aurora Borealis, something that you'd really want to see?
Not want as in "would be nice" but want as in "might actually arrange a trip, to get to see it".
