US 550 in Colorado is scenic.  The Million Dollar Highway. 

Can be a dangerous drive.



Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. There are MANY places in Colorado that are interesting to visit.
Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Indeed.

We were looking to do an extensive US tour of National Parks, Grand Canyon etc but your countries selection of leader made it unconscionable for us to visit.
And then one day you stop to find,

Likewise here. We've been looking at roadtrips in the US. New England. Over Rockies and down the West Coast. And a few other ideas. But I will not set foot in the US while the current administration is at the helm and I will await the actual behaviour of the next, or next after that, admin before even considering a trip.

A trip that is on our Bucket List is: Australia, NZ and some suitable island in the south Pacific.
Since Australia is a really big piece of land we're probably limited to parts of the QLD and NSW coast and perhaps also a  bit of SA and VIC, and just maybe a hop to Tassie.
Not a two-week trip, that's for sure. I figure that two months is realistic. Then there is the question of cost, and a trip like that is not cheap. Time will tell...

I am wanting to go on a river cruise in Europe but many rivers are not navigable because of drought.  This will improve over time, so I will just wait.

Too bad the European river cruises are not good to book with the river levels being so low.

I'm on a cruise in Germany at the moment. It was supposed to be Rhine/Moselle but Rhine below Koln is too low so now only on the Moselle which is controlled by lock gates.

I guess the Moselle is a nice little cruise, Christina?
The river meanders through villages and towns and there are sloping hills where they grow grapes for wine. Quite a beautiful landscape, as I remember it.
