It has been a quiet time in the Capitol Hill area for the curious posters featuring squirrels.

That's always so though provoking. Just like looking at the Hubble Deep Field images and the thousands of galaxies in one small window.

I long to be out there somewhere so alien. To stand on some strange planet, viewing some unfamiliar star system.

I've always wanted to see the view (with sunglasses) from inside of a globular star cluster like this one, NGC 1866:

It appears that it really is possible to stay signed in to Susan's Place forever.  A couple of days ago I had just posted on Ashley's personal topic and my screen went blank because my laptop ran out of juice.  I hadn't closed the web page though and when I plugged in my laptop today charge it, I was able to continue where I left off without signing in (although I did sign in again for this post).

The American and British comic characters called Dennis the Menace were both first published on March 12, 1951.  Both wear a horizontally striped T-shirt or pullover.  It appears to be entirely a coincidence.

The most dangerous animal to humans in Australia is not the croc or all those jumping Roos and variants, or snakes.  The most dangerous animal there for humans is supposedly the human.

Note that Mercury is closer to the Sun.

Yes that is true on average except when the orbit of Venus brings it closer to earth.
