There is a Carhenge in Alliance, Nebraska.  It has been called a tribute to Stonehenge.

Fish and chips

Joseph Malin, a Jewish immigrant, opened the first fish and chip shop in London around 1860, combining international influences into what would become Britain's most iconic takeaway.

Apparently the chips may have originated in Belgium or France (Belgium claims they originated fries).  The fried fish was introduced by Jewish refugees from Portugal and Spain fleeing persecution in the 17th century.

You will not find a polar bear in the Antarctic.

The Greek word for bear is 𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘵𝘰𝘴. So Arctic means "bears," and Antarctic means "without bears."

Actually, it could have been named because of its lack of ants.  There are a few ants in the Artic though.

The longest two rivers are each more than 4,000 miles long.

They are the Nile and the Amazon.

Crawdads (or crayfish or crawfish) are related to lobsters.

I had an image of the oceans that I loaded into Paint.net (a photo editor), then selected Invert Colors. Whoa! That was interesting!

I have a Readers Digest World atlas from before the war which has a topographical map for each of the worlds oceans. You can clearly see underwater mountain ranges, plataus and valleys. It will be out of date now but it's still quite cool. Still shows a hell of a lot of the world in pink (colour of the British Empire on maps)

Should not those "baby changing stations" often found in bathrooms be more properly signed as "diaper changing stations?"
