The United States just had its hottest summer in 132 years of recordkeeping, soundly beating the summer of 1936 — during the Dust Bowl era — as well as the summer of 2021, according to data released Wednesday by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Previously, those two years had tied for the hottest summer.

Over 100,000,000 people in the USA now were born within the past 25 years.
That is roughly about one of every three people alive today.

Friday, September 18, 2026 in the USA is National Cheeseburger Day.

Numerous restaurants are offering deals on cheeseburgers today.

Australia has a lot of feral camels.  So many that they have been a nuisance.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. There is a hair museum in Independence, Missouri.


As stated at its Web site, the hair museum was started by Leila Cahill in 1986 and this museum showcases a remarkable passion for preserving and celebrating the art of hair.

Apple Betty is a dessert, made with apples.  Brown Betty is a similar dessert but made sometimes with other fruit.
