Thanks for the compliment, Sarah, Petunia, and Davina. 

I have a strange need to post my photos here.  I think I need regular positive affirmations from my friends here because I am trapped with constant self-criticisms in my head.

Gender dysphoria has made me very needy...so alien to the male socialization we all grew up with, "Just suck it up."

This is so hard to handle, at times. That voice that doesn't have many nice things to say but that seems to have endless ways of expressing everything from a bit of doubt to a formal rage of self-criticism.

Same. I find I need that validation though I did not know I did until I posted my first pic here. I need to know that I'm not fooling myself, that I do look female and I'm not suffering some sort of mental delusion! The comments on here really do help and I am so grateful for them as I'm sure you are.

I do not have the capacity to "just suck it up" anymore. I can get very emotional now and sometimes I just can't control it. I do really like this aspect of transition in particular though.

Thanks Anna, It does not stop me from feeling dysphoric though.

That is 100% me, albeit with my full make up on.

This is me with virtually no make up on:-


You can see what a difference make up can make!!

I wish I could see what you lot see but that's the horrible thing about dysphoria, you zero in on the silliest details and then that is all you can see. That's why posting pictures and the wonderful comments we receive keeps us grounded and gives us those little boosts in confidence.
