The thought of weighing my boobs has never occurred to me. I have a bizare mental image of that in my head!

Today is an important day for me. Today is the day I quit vaping. I filled my vape pen up for the last time, and when it's empty, it's going in the trash. I've vaped since I was 21, and I've never been able to quit. I'm
confident that I can quit this time.

I'm so pleased to hear this Alana, especially considering no one really knows the long term risks. I'm wishing you strength and determination to push through with this. You can definitely do this.

I was never a vaper it didn't exist when I smoked. I smoked from the age of 20-25 but I was quite a heavy smoker, like 30 a day at it's worst. I gave up by using a Nicotine "inhalator" which was sort of the same thing but bloomin awful on your throat. It isn't easy but I found the thing to do is find something to occupy your hands as the muscle memory is part of the habit.

Your body will thank you in the long run though.

Good luck!

Must go cold turkey and NEVER go back.  NO EXCEPTIONS.
Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Good luck!

I am a longtime nicotine addict myself, so I know the struggle. If you can't quit totally, at least keep cutting down until you can.

Addictions are genetic, so there is no cure. Only management. It can be done.

Thanks, Sarah. That inhalator sounds very harsh. Keeping my hands occupied is something I'm going to have to unlearn. I just tossed my vape pen in the dumpster. 10 minutes so far, so good.

Thanks, Lori. I went out for a bike ride last week, and was huffing and puffing going up hill which has never happened to me. That sped up my decision to stop. My goal was to quit by Memorial Day. I'm going on 20 minutes now since I stopped. I'm feeling okay, but anxious.

Take three slow, deep breaths and then forget about it.

You would be surprised how effective that can be.

I'm not sure if this can apply to vaping or not but when I gave up I kept 1 cigarette in a pack on the mantlepiece in my living room. I viewed it as "it's there as an emergency if things got too bad" but also as a reminder of what I was trying to give up. It stayed there for nearly a year before I threw it out!

Addiction is a terrible thing. I have had to give up a nicotine addiction and an alcohol addiction in my time. Both were incredibly dificult and I think I actually lost friends over my refusal to go to the pub. Very hard times but when you emerge out the other side you realise how strong you can be when you put your mind to it. They say the nicotine addiction only lasts for a couple of weeks and after that it is just the habit you need to break.

You've got this girl!
