I was going about my day at work today, and I found myself feeling, and acting very different than I normally do. My vibe felt very girly...
I think seeing how much face has changed from a year of hrt when I did my makeup today put me in the right state of mind.

I've been feeling very "meh" today. I'm hoping getting out on my bike, riding for a few miles in the dirt, and the post ride adult drink will get rid of the "meh" I've been feeling all day. I'm curious to see if my riding will be improved since it's my first bike ride since I  quit vaping.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Dear Alana:
I am very happy to read that you will be getting out on your bike...
...physical activity, at least for me, is a good way to clear my mind and get me
out of the doldrums.
I hope that you have the same results...
... and by the way, congratulations on quitting vaping, but be sure to go easy on
your "post" ride Adult Drink.

HUGS, Danielle

Thank you!
I vaped for 15 years. I never thought I could quit. I rode 6 miles, and was pretty deep in the woods. I could've done w/o all the mosquitoes. I was able to come home and hey the grill going, then take a nice walk at the local college walking path afterwards.

Dear Alana:
Thank you for your reply.

I am happy to read about your 6 mile bike ride and getting your grill going and then taking a nice walk.  I am assuming that you are doing better now.  You have not seen mosquitoes until you experience the swarms here in Alaska. Here we call them the Alaskan State Bird.

Again, congratulations on kicking the vaping habit.

You've done very well on the quiting vaping Alana! it is not an easy thing to do, you can rightly be proud of yourself that you have such a strong will.

Have you ever tried road cycling? Mosquitos aren't really a big thing in my country but we do have Scottish Midges which can be fierce. With road cycling, they can't keep up because of the speed and it's easier to do high mileage before you've even realised it. I would regularly do 60-100+ miles on my bike. I've piled the pounds on with depression since and I dare not ride it currently as it's lightweight carbon fibre and I could snap the frame!

I've been thinking of getting an Aluminium MTB instead to cope with the excess weight but i like to wear Lycra bib shorts and I wouldn't inflict my massive lycra clad butt on anyone right now. I'm going to hit the cross trainer when I get set up in my new house though. It would be nice to get out on my bike again.
A wise man once said don't judge a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes, that way when you judge him you're a mile away and you have his shoes!

Never trust a man who, when left alone in a room with a tea cozy, doesn't try it on - Billy Connolley

Sarah,
I do ride pavement regularly, despite being a mountain biker. This is the time of year when the mosquitoes get bad here. Late spring, and we're stuck with 'em until the first hard frost. Sometimes the bug spray doesn't bother them, and I get eaten alive, and show up at work on Mondays with huge welts from them. I've always had aluminum bikes. I've heard stories from people I ride with about carbon fiber, and I stayed away from them.
