Quote from: Alana Ashleigh on June 17, 2026, 05:18:12 PMI went the gym this afternoon and walked on the treadmill. The entire time I walked, all I could feel was my hips and butt swaying back and forth. Fat redistribution seems to be picking up speed, and don't think I can physically walk like a guy anymore. I think this might be permanent.  🤩

This is good news for us who transition.

Hugs,

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Today is a holiday for us government workers. It was nice to get 10 hours of sleep for the first time in a month. I'm going to be off for a few weeks very soon. When I get back from vacation, I'll have a few weeks of working day shift, then I'll be back on my normal afternoon work schedule. I don't know how people work days. I'm just not wired for working it

I do not know how people can work the night shift!

I enjoyed it. All the supervisors worked days, so no one was bothering you, and you could get stuff done.

The downside was that you had to sleep when the rest of the world was awake, so you could sleep or go shopping, pay bills, and do normal stuff instead. I love my sleep too much to sacrifice it.

The best shift I did was the twilight shift Mon-Fri 16:00pm to 1:00 am with a 19:30 finish on a Friday! Was perfect. You could get everything you needed to do done during the day worked till 1 am then a lie in to say 10:00 and start again.

I think it's one of those things where you're wired to do it. I always hated being up early in the morning. Working in the morning has always felt like it's going against my body clock. Working afternoons has always felt very natural to me. I probably have a messed up circadian rhythm.

Rotating shifts is brutal. I had a previous job where we very short handed. I ended up working 3p-3a for weeeks on end.

Not having any admins is one of the things I enjoy about working afternoons. It's nice to get up in the late morning and go workout when the gym is empty, or take care of all my appointments when everyone is at work.

I work flexi time which works well for me. I can take half days here and there or take time off for appointments or just have a late start or an early finish when I like. As long as I maintain a positive time balance which is easy, it is quite, well, flexible!

I seem to do best working 6a to 5p or 7a to 6p.  I take needed time off during the days for required appointments.

I've been having a strange day today. I've  listened to heavy metal music my entire life. I never listened to anything else. I've been completely annoyed by it today. I ended up listening to Mariah Carey, and Pink today, and was very much enjoying listening to them. I've never listened to either of them before. I've been experiencing a few other changes in my tastes too.

Alana, what heavy metal bands were you into?

I used to like a lot of rock of all types but I recently went to see Lady Gaga in concert.

Judas Priest, Van Halen, Scorpions, pretty much late 70's to early 90's metal.

I've never listened to Judas Priest.  I thought the Scorpians were a made up band to infiltrate Soviet youth, think Gorky Park.

I was a Val Halen fan but I just think of them as a guitar rock band.

Much like Led Zepplin, ACDC etc.

Even most of the grunge bands I consider guitar rock.

Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Stone Temple Pilots.

Perhaps Rage Against The Machine were harder but that might have only been because of the message.

I do realise a lot of those bands did crossover of course

I could have written this! I have always listened a lot to hard rock from the 70s and the 80s. Bands like AC/DC, VH, Zep, DP, Priest, Lizzy, Aerosmith, Metallica, The Clash, Stones, ...

But like you I find that my taste has expanded. I still listen to the hard rock and metal, but now I also find myself listening to other kinds of music. Selected parts of Taylor Swift's albums, like Reputation and The tortured poet's department. Amy Winehouse. I guess I'd better give Pink a chance as well. ☺️

So, some unexpected things seem to happen during our journeys. Like a small bonus that lets us embrace a wider selection of life's possibilities.

Out since March 5, 2026. Wifey knows since mid April.
Integration ongoing. I'll cross the transition bridge when I get to it.

Hi Anna, I've like your choices. I gone way beyond.
I even listen to Sia, Miley, Dua Lipa.

If any of you girls who rock and haven't heard the Aussie band The Divinyls,  do your self a favour.

Pleasure and Pain, All the Boys In Town  and just follow what you tube gives you.
