The Story of Lori, Chapter 2

[davina61]

Thats how the cookie crumbles my dear, hope your knee is better today. My left knee is giving me grief at the moment after all the walking the other weekend, it normally calms down by now but is being a bit stubborn ! More ibuprofen gel then.

Oh, Sarah!

That is beautiful. I'll add that to my collection. And thank you for the birthday wishes, Sis.

Thanks, Tammy!

The series is live now. For some reason, they make it live before I get my author proof copy. If you get them and find any formatting errors or anything goofy, let me know so I can correct it. Within a week or two, I will have any bugs worked out if you want to wait. Everything looked good on my end, so now I am just waiting to inspect the physical copies.

[Lori Dee ✅]

The books have been corrected. Just a minor issue with the cover jacket. The image was too close to the edge. Fixed.

Just got a text from my realtor. My offer was accepted, and the contract is signed. Now I am buried in digital paperwork to get the mortgage processed, but I just remind myself that I am moving for the last time!

Can you send me a link to your book if you can't post one here?

Yay! Congratulations, Lori. Susan and I will be glad to help you move when the time comes. I know there's a lot of paperwork and other hurdles you'll need to deal with. Let us know if we can help.

Thanks, Jess (and @Susan_Rose ).

I never realized how good it is to have friends in the area. You too have been awesome.

Many thanks.

Lori, congratulations on the book, the new house, and everything!!!  Great news!

[ChrissyRyan]

I hope your ortho surgeon fixes you up well!

Will your new home be available for you this fall?

Chrissy

Thanks, Chrissy!

The Ortho surgeon gave me a cortisone injection. He didn't recommend surgery right now. I'm still waiting for it to work. It takes about a week. Of course, like a dummy, I got excited when I heard my offer on the house was accepted and broke into my Happy Dance. And OUCHIES!

The Closing Date on the house is November 6. I will spend November painting and cleaning, then move in, then clean my current place and get it ready to return to the landlord.

Fun times ahead.

[ChrissyRyan]

I hope the new place will be close to your gold hunting, be in a safe area, and the people around will be accepting and friendly to you.  Watch out for any dangerous out wildlife if they will be around!

Amazon lists your new book out of print.

[Lori Dee ✅]

I will check my links. Maybe it is trying to link to an Ebook.

This will take you to the Series page. Let me know if it doesn't work.

When I looked earlier it said temporarily unavailable but now everything looks okay.

Congratulations on the house. We're in the process of buying here.

Hugs, Devlyn

Thanks!

Sweet! Have you found one yet? Or are you just saying that to get out of helping me move?

[Devlyn ✅]

We're almost finished with the process. Buying a house here can be wildly complicated if you get into a "chain". We kept looking until we found a "chain free" property. That's as close to the US home buying model as you can get.

We'll be hiring a moving company when the day comes, because we've both done enough of that for a lifetime. 🙂

Congrats!

Same here. I'll move the boxes and small stuff myself. But the heavy furniture will be done by strong men. It took two of them to fit my couch through the front door. If they take the heavy stuff, hopefully it will take less time and cost less.
