We have rain forecasted for this evening with a chance of flurries. Overnight low predicted for 20 - 35F. I hope we don't lose our flowers to frost.
@Emma1017 mentioned the prediction for a Super El Niño. The last four we had here since the 1980s resulted in Denver getting between 70 and 80 inches of snow.
We are in a drought, so we definitely need to build up our snowpack and refill our reservoirs. This past winter, the snowpack was only 10% of normal, and the ski resorts had to close early for the season.
This could be a dry summer. That is good for finding gold that is normally underwater, but it doesn't address fire hazards or drinking water levels.
