I think you assume trump voters are rational thinkers. They see him almost a deity not a person. They don't trust news sources so you can't show them the things he has done because they believe it all an attack on there sudo messiah. These are the same people that believe Sandy Hook was a fake news story to take their guns. I wish you well in convincing them but I think they have to figure this out on their own.

Regardless, from my angle he has no strategy and end-game with anything but enriching himself and his cronies.

Yes, they have to do that themselves and the reason they vote/voted for Donny is that they actually like his rhetoric and feel uplifted and at home with it. With the risk of repeting myself too many times: Moral psychology in operation. The rationale and logic that voters on "our side" applies cannot readily be applied to those who adhere to the Donny-ism, because if it could then they'd be different.
All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players.
To thine own self be true.

Out to self since March 5, 2026. My wife knows it all since June 23.
Integration ongoing. I'll cross the transition bridge when I get to it.

American presidents are never elected based on foreign policy, only domestic policies.

We are now in a foreign war, with higher gas prices at the pump and tangible inflation at the grocery store for the average American. The midterm election is only a few months away.

For many Americans who actually vote, many are anti-voters, people who are just voting AGAINST the other candidate, not necessarily FOR the other one.  So Trump benefited from the anti-Kamala Harris sentiment, not just his extreme policies.

Hey Lori...should we get back to gold prospecting?😁

This guy actually prospects on the streets of NYC:

Wouldn't the rebar in the concrete make metal detectors pointless?

Generally, yes. However, with practice, you can tell the different sounds. The rebar is in the middle of the slab, so he focuses on the cracks. There won't be any valuable targets anywhere except the cracks.

I have seen other videos of people just cleaning out the cracks (called crevicing) and sweeping it all into a pan. Then take it home and clean it up, looking for valuables.

When I detect along sidewalks, I focus on the edges where things can drop off into the dirt or grass. That has always been a good place to look. I use the crevice techniques to clean cracks in bedrock in dry creek beds.

It is, but less physically demanding than sluicing or gold panning. No shoveling or screening the material. No hauling heavy buckets of wet gravel. It can be quite lucrative.

I found a nice crevice in South Dakota on a bedrock bench just above the creek. I had to clear some grass out of the way, but it turned out to be a great spot. Here are some photos from my book and my website photo gallery:

I do! That's one of the things I love about it. I try to avoid areas where everyone and their brother is taking the family camping and doing some gold panning. I do careful research and find areas that people have forgotten about, or never knew about since the 1890s.

I would load all of my gear into my backpack and hike for miles into the backcountry. I got to see some beautiful sights that most people never see. Now that my knees are acting their age, I am more inclined to drive to remote spots instead. Which is why I upgraded my Jeep to a four-wheel-drive Wrangler.

I might be slowing down, but I'm not done yet.

I love my Jeep. Be careful you will get me talking about it and I won't stop. I have big plans for my Jeep. I will stop now before I bore everyone.

I love my Jeep, too! We have a few Jeep fans here. I bought mine last year (2025 Jeep Wrangler), and have been slowly adding "stuff". The first additions were practical: rock slide rails, roof rack, cargo shelf inside, window racks inside and out, and a water can.

Since then, it has been cosmetics because my neighbor looked at all the practical stuff and said, "This thing reeks of testosterone." NOOOOOO! That must change!

So I added pink accents: Jeep wave decals to the mirrors, pink trim covers for the windshield bumpers, top grill, hood latches, tailgate hinges, and rear license plate frame. I didn't want to overdo it, so no bling.

I took it in for an oil change and tire rotation today. I asked the salesman who sold it to me what he thought. He said I need to do the front grill and headlight bevels too. I sent pics to my friend in WY and asked what she thought. She agreed, so they are now on order.

Then I stop! Maybe.
