It was a nice lunch.  We all went to a local steakhouse that is open for lunch on Fridays.  I got a small steak, a filet, and it was really, really good.  They were all nice and I also received some gift cards and a birthday card signed by all.

I will gladly be very appreciative of any compliments that are given to me.

Regarding your question about being told that "You look very feminine today, I do not find that to be a problem especially if it is coming from a friend that is aware of my transition journey.

My feeling is that a smart girl is always thankful for a compliment and I will smile and say "thank you"

I started to spend some of the gift card money received at my birthday lunch.  So far, it has been utilitarian purchases, a new big skillet and new towels at one store.  No new clothes or shoes!
